Alexion Pharmaceuticals Senior Manager, US Complement Marketing Operations in Boston, Massachusetts

This is what you will do:

The Senior Manager, US Complement Marketing Operations, will be responsible for operational leadership and coordination for aHUS and PNH businesses. This individual will lead the marketing operations including national congress presence, speaker bureau, Plan of Action meetings, Brand Planning and Annual Operating Planning.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and project managing the short- and long-term tactical plans for aHUS and PNH

  • Leading the congress planning, BU Annual Planning calendar, and Plan of Action meetings

  • Planning and coordinating sales force communications for roll-out of marketing materials and initiatives

  • Overseing sales force resource guide and tracking utilization of sales force resources in inventory

  • Driving speaker bureau operations in partnership with the TLL and HCP operations team

  • Collaborating with the procurement and legal departments to process and submit contractual documents

  • Partnering closely with finance to oversee budget and accrual tracking for department

  • Collaborating with wide range of cross-functional teams (incl. TLLs, Executive & Regional Sales Directors, Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to ensure coordinated execution across roles and responsibilities

    You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field

  • 3+ years marketing or sales experience in biopharma

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate in a matrix environment

  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects across functions, and working independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead

  • Consistent demonstration of learning agility and comfort working in fast-paced environment

  • Experience in managing external agencies and/or vendors on a day-to-day basis and budget management

  • High level of interpersonal skills and strong written/verbal communication skills

  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; problem solve; engage in complex and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours

    We would prefer for you to have:

  • Rare disease/high-value biologics experience

  • Desired experience in hematology, oncology and/or nephrology

  • A track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics that have delivered strong commercial results

  • Strong scientific orientation and background

  • Experience launching or working with a newly launched product and/or global experience
