Oracle Senior Manager, Product Management (OCI AI: Model Training, Infrastructure, Tooling) in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

These services will accelerate the development of AI services with tools designed to support the ML Ops workflow. One of the key roles of the product management function will be to identify and prioritize the solutions to be delivered and technologies to be used, as well as provide the subsequent functional specification of said solutions.

Successful candidates must be able to:

  • Define, design, and assist in execution of data-driven AI development tools and infrastructure strategy.

  • Have wide breadth and depth of knowledge of data annotation and data science tooling.

  • Understand the business advantages that new technologies and tooling can offer in accelerating AI services delivery and improving prediction quality.

  • Think creatively about what new solutions can be delivered.

  • Work with agile development techniques.

  • Guide a scrum team to deliver next-gen AI-driven data capabilities.

  • Understand the cloud delivery model and how that drives application delivery and deployment.

  • Work in an environment with a significant number of unknowns – both technically and functionally.

  • Collaborate across a number of teams for development, data science, and data operations.

  • Work globally in a geographically dispersed team



  • Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment.

  • Fully competent in own area of expertise.

  • Assist in the creation of product strategy and drive product requirements.

  • Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality.

  • Initiate and foster relationships with other groups and partners.

  • Develop product presentations and collateral.

  • Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

  • Demonstrate excellent technical problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.


  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.

  • Demonstrated track record of at least 15 years of software engineering, product development, or product management in enterprise SaaS software or related experience.

  • Deep domain knowledge of data management, data operations, and data tooling.

  • Self-starter, motivated and ambitious. Looking to grow in a fast-moving organization. Ability to wear many different hats and work on multiple deliverables in parallel.

  • Great verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Able to present and document ideas in a concise and articulate manner.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills to form a deep understanding of market/customer needs.

  • Ability to think creatively about how our products can solve business problems.

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate successfully outside of authority while leveraging Oracle expertise and resources.

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms a plus.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $109,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
