Wayfair Senior Manager, Original Video Content in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><strong>Who You Are: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">You’re a strategic story-teller, with a strong vision for how to leverage different types of video content to tell a holistic story. You’re someone who nimbly jumps from left- to right-brain thinking while balancing a strong editorial eye with a deep understanding of data trends and appreciation for performance. You’re constantly finding inspiration, anywhere and everywhere, and thinking about the right way to bring that spark to flame.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><strong>What You’ll Do: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Your top priority will be to partner with internal and external video production teams to launch multiple original series designed to build an audience and drive consistent viewership on YouTube. This is an emerging marketing channel for Wayfair, and you’ll have the unique opportunity to craft the creative vision for how we tell our brand story through original content. Within the first six months, you’ll begin creating a strategy for how-to and inspirational content that can live natively within the Wayfair app, working in close partnership with marketing and SEO to capitalize on customer search intent behavior. By the end of your first year, you’ll be a center of excellence for video content and customer engagement, working in regular partnership with PR, brand, and other creative leaders.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To be successful in this role, you must be resourceful and inventive, eager to partner with other creatives and non-creatives alike. You’ll work on many different types of content, including everything from live streaming video, to brand activations, to the creation of highly-engaging static posts. The emerging scope of this role will require versatility, flexibility, and, most importantly, a strong POV on how we can succeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Create and maintain a content vision and calendar for Wayfair North America’s YouTube channel, as well building a strategy for how to launch and scale search intent content that can live within our iOS app.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with insights, marketing, and brand strategy leads to grow and engage Wayfair’s consumer audiences using video content.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the thought and creation of episodic video series, including home makeovers, how-tos, and inspiration.&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with and manage writers, designers, and videographers to create engaging video and static content that is consistent with our content in other channels&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Expert at prioritization, you can evaluate needs of multiple stakeholders and make decisions as to which research initiatives are (and are not) critical to the business</span></li>

<p><strong>What You’ll Need:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years of relevant experience, with expertise in editorial content, social content strategy, or content programming.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience working across various types of media.&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent editorial skills, with a strong attention to detail.&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowledge of the ever-evolving industry landscape, trends, and competitors.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent interpersonal and team building skills; collaborative team player who wants to see themselves and others thrive.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor communication style based on audience.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Capacity to multitask and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proactive, forward thinking and ability to synthesize disparate information effectively and quickly into clear recommendations, actions, and decisions.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong background in data driven decision making, coupled with having an appreciation for brand and consumer experience.</span></li>
