Job Overview The Senior Nutrition Science Manager proactively creates, owns, and drives the KDP Scientific Nutrition Agenda. This role will lead Nutrition related Innovation efforts to ensure new product opportunities support KDP’s Health & Wellbeing focus and are based on sound nutrition science. The Senior Nutrition Science Manager will keep abreast of Nutrition and Dietary Policy issues that affect KDP products in both the U.S. and Canada and create timely and relevant communications to Senior & Executive Leadership on Nutrition related topics that impact KDPs product portfolio. The candidate for this position must have excellent leadership and communications skills with experience and expertise in creating and managing a Nutrition Program both from a technical and leadership perspective. Job Responsibilities: + Create, own, and drive the Nutrition Science strategy and agenda. + Review and evaluate relevant nutrition related scientific literature and prepare summary documents to share with internal stakeholders. + Influence Marketing Innovation & Brand teams with science-based input for ideation and concepts + Evaluate functional ingredients and proactively inform internal teams of nutrition trends and/or claims that can substantively be leveraged in new products. + Support KDP efforts to communicate science-based benefits messaging . + Advise on the Nutrition Health & Wellbeing agenda to strengthen corporate H&W initiatives. + Establish and maintain a Nutrition Communications & Outreach program focused on Nutrition-related policy changes. + Provide solutions to strategic and tactical issues pertaining to Nutrition Science. + Participate in strategic and tactical projects/teams to provide Nutrition Science influence and perspective. + Build strong liaisons and actively represent KDP at local and global external organizations + Influence business decisions with rigorous scientific assessment and understanding of the overarching business impact. + Ability to travel approximately 15%-20% of the time Requirements + Advanced University degree in Nutrition Science or a related field required. + Minimum of 10 years of experience in Nutrition Science, preferably in a Consumer Products company. + Excellent communication, influence, and external presence skills. + Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently on projects and initiatives. + Exceptional willingness and propensity for collaboration, relationship & team building both within and outside KDP. + Exceptional ability to proactively anticipate and address Nutrition related issues.
