What you ll do:

Lead the Deloitte Consulting Communications team in the development and execution of internal and external communications and public relations strategy for senior leaders and strategic initiatives of Deloitte Consulting.

  • Lead the strategic planning and oversee the tactical delivery of high-profile internal and external communications programs aimed at engaging target audiences with Consulting-specific offerings, industries, products and platforms, and key issues shaping the future of business

  • Lead public and media relations strategic planning and execution of innovative media relations and influencer engagement plans

  • Lead Comms and PR outreach and perception-management for our executive offices, especially for our CEO, overseeing communications plans, messaging and narrative support

  • Lead Consulting Communications-effectiveness measurement and reporting strategy, inclusive of audience engagement, media share of voice, and other reputation-based KPIs

  • Plan, set and manage Consulting Communications Budget, with ownership and accountability to budget execution and reporting

  • Oversee vendor and agency relations for Consulting Communications, managing retainer budgeting and fees, resourcing, and project execution

  • Guide the Consulting Communications team in strategic development and execution, manage operations and resourcing, and nurture the career development of direct reports

  • Work with the social and digital strategy teams to create compelling content for posting including management of social presence (channels & handles)

  • Bring a creative mindset and exceptional writing skills to the planning, writing, editing, and publishing of both internal and external communications

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for best practice communications, PR, and editorial strategy, and support business stakeholders in communications and PR planning

  • Provide strategic counsel to a wide variety of business stakeholders on aligning individual communications and PR plans to the broader, program-level strategy

  • Continually identify and advance opportunities to innovate and to streamline communications and PR operations

  • Develop collaborative, consultative relationships with Deloitte business leaders and our marketing, brand, and communications colleagues across the organization to support far-reaching communications and business initiatives

Deloitte s Communications team provides value to the U.S. Firms by delivering innovative communications strategies and approaches for internal and external audiences. We build and protect our brand, and help our leaders influence positive behaviors, drive change, reinforce successes, and promote a strong sense of community through coordinated, consistent messaging. From concept to execution, we help our leaders reach their audience and achieve a consistent standard of excellence using proven communication methodologies.



  • Communications professional with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations or Journalism, is required

  • Prior experience working in the technology industry with a focus on or good understanding of digital technologies and solutions

  • Proven success in leading Communications teams, developing and executing internal communications strategies, PR strategies, and communications and PR plans for a large business, preferably in professional services

  • Broad thinking capable of making connections across the business and taking decisive action

  • Strong understanding of marketing and communications KPIs, measurement and reporting focused on business results

  • Strong writing, editing, and copy editing skills and previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism fields required

  • Experience in successfully managing and delivering sensitive, crisis and executive communications requests in a large-scale corporate environment preferred

  • Initiative and intellectual curiosity
