Global Sales Events Team @ Autodesk

You will join a team that is passionate about brand within the Worldwide Marketing organization. You will lead the Global Sales Events team which is part of Global Brand Experience (GBE) within Worldwide Marketing. GBE is made up of other experience programs; such as our premier customer conference, our executive briefing program and the Autodesk Gallery. We strive to infuse our brand into every touch point and deliver engaging experiences that are world-class.

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned event professional to lead the strategy, execution, and measurable impact of our global sales events, including annual sales and customer success kickoff events, global channel kickoff events, and on-going quarterly events for our partners around the world. You will guide key stakeholders, vendors, and extended teams to plan and execute impactful sales events for Autodesk. You have extensive experience designing and executing live and digital events. You have a unique and industry-leading perspective on the future of the events industry and can articulate how you can make an impact on the future of Autodesk sales events. You have experience managing a team of rock-stars and proven ability to get people on board with your direction. You perform a versatile role, including meeting and event management, communications, building community, fostering relationships, and contract management/negotiation and selection of vendors, and leading a global team of event professionals. You will prepare and deliver ROI evaluations for your events, reconcile budgets, and deliver performance evaluations and development plans for your team.


  • Design and deliver engaging and effective sales events that bring creative, innovative approaches to accelerate the transformation of the Autodesk business

  • Inspire, direct, and collaborate the global sales events team and help in their growth. This includes direct reports as well as influencing a dotted-line structure of stakeholders who leverage our sales event platforms to reach our target audiences.

  • Lead event strategy and execution of end to end in-person and digital event operations

  • Establish the strategy for digital, physical, and hybrid sales events and the Autodesk customer journey

  • Accountable for a multi-million-dollar program budget, including working with senior leadership on annual forecasts, budget asks, financial reporting, reconciliation, and ensuring compliancy with finance/legal processes

  • Liaison with executive level stakeholders to garner support of event design, initiatives, and gather feedback

  • Create and manage program management processes and protocols

  • Lead contract negotiations, in partnership with procurement, coordinating with and managing program venues and suppliers

  • Direct the selection and usage of program tools and resources (Smartsheet, Teams, Box folders, mailers, etc.).

  • Direct an extended global events team of high-functional individuals/teams

  • Establish and deliver executive and detailed reports with data-driven analysis

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 10+ years of experience leading large-scale events (both physical and digital)

  • Excellent knowledge of and hands-on experience with all aspects of event management, logistics, vendor negotiation, and marketing

  • Exemplary executive presence and communication skills

  • A strong collaborator
