Wayfair Senior Manager, Global Career Development Equity in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As the Senior Manager for Wayfair’s Global Career Development Equity Strategy, you will lead the vision and supporting initiatives related to identifying, prioritizing, and galvanizing support around ways to infuse performance and career development experiences with an equity lens. In this important space, you will first understand and evaluate our existing philosophy and practices, and subsequently build recommendations for how to evolve or strengthen them. You’ll work across the team, with other partners in Talent, such as Culture &amp; Inclusion and People Analytics, and with key business partners to build buy-in for the strategy. With your direct team and in collaboration with others, you’ll ensure the build out and delivery of supporting tools and resources that enable practical, tangible, measurable change. The goal is to establish leading talent practices that are grounded in our commitments to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at each stage of the journey.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Success in this role is determined by your ability to strategically problem solve in a space with a lot of potential and a lot of ambiguity; to bring outside ideas and expertise as well as harnessing internal insights and realities; to effectively deliver scalable global solutions; and to partner across other teams that play key roles in defining and delivering on the strategy. You’ll be part of the Global Performance and Career Development team which includes performance strategy, talent development and planning, promotions, and career pathing.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the evolution of Wayfair’s performance and career development experiences with the lens of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, helping to empower all of our employees to experience motivating, meaningful careers at Wayfair.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drive an effort, in partnership with other Talent teams, to evaluate Wayfair’s existing experiences and identify strengths to keep or gaps to address.&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Leverage internal and external insights, trends, and expertise to develop relevant solutions.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Define and execute on opportunities to better support Wayfair leaders, managers, employees and to infuse equity into all aspects of the career and performance processes</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the change management efforts related to these initiatives, including communication, training and marketing needs.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">In partnership with the People Analytics and Culture &amp; Inclusion teams:</span></li>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Analyze data to evaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of implemented DEI initiatives related to performance and career development, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Report out to executive leadership on performance and career development equity data&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work in partnership with Talent Business Partners to drive improvements where there are areas of opportunity.</span></li>

</ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead a small team that closely partners with others to move from concept to implementation, ensuring clear measurement strategies to support evaluation of pilot initiatives.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrate strong management and leadership capabilities both in the ability leading direct report(s) and in working with cross functional teams.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Contribute insights and ideas as a leader on the Career Development team, and in the broader Talent Development organization.</span></li>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">7+ years of professional experience and/or 3+ years post MBA/graduate degree experience preferred.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience working in a data-driven Talent/Human Resources role.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to develop and implement solutions to highly ambiguous problems.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience and proven results driving equity in the talent and career development space.&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowledge of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles, practices, and models.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Comfortable managing in a fast-paced, frequently changing, dynamic environment.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Flexible and able to think and adapt quickly; able to leverage data to make rapid decisions while planning for the future.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Capacity to identify, collect, and gain insights from data to answer pressing business questions.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Skilled at leading directly, and leading cross-functional teams.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to collaborate and communicate with senior company leadership.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to well managed processes.</span></li>
