VMware Senior Manager, Customer Learning Business Partner - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Boston, Massachusetts
The Worldwide Readiness, Assessment, Certification & Enablement (WWRACE) Team is focused on providing the knowledge and skills to empower successful customer business outcomes. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Customer Learning Business Partner to join our dynamic WWRACE Strategy team. The elements of M&A Integration, Marketing Communications, VMware Learning & Customer-In, and Solutions Enablement are interlaced in the WWRACE Strategy Team’s work. We plan, anchor, communicate and deliver these knowledge and skills to our VMware people, customers and partners.
The Senior Manager, Customer Learning Business Partner works to ensure the customer is at the center of our efforts, with a customer-in mindset, and is the primary liaison between the VMware Learning business, and Worldwide Readiness, Assessment, Certification and Enablement (WWRACE). The Senior Manager, Customer Learning Business Partner provides VMware Learning input and visibility into the curriculum, certification and platform roadmaps for new and existing products and a conduit for WWRACE to provide updates to VMware Learning. Working closely with VMware Learning Leaders, as well as WWRACE Leadership, the Senior Manager, Customer Learning Business Partner helps support VMware Learning offerings that maximize customers’ ability to consume VMware technology. #WWRACE
Job Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Customer Learning Business Partner will be considered an extended member of both the VMware Learning and WWRACE leadership teams and will work equally with VMware Learning and WWRACE stakeholders to ensure alignment and cohesion. The role will report into the Senior Director, Strategy for WWRACE.

Trusted advisor and “one-stop-shop” for all VMware Learning and WWRACE engagements
Lead the alignment of service planning and readiness between WWRACE and VMware Learning. Serve as single point of accountability for curriculum, certification, platforms roadmap and strategic alignment. Manage process & stakeholders to meet corporate planning timelines and deliverables.
Responsible for VMware Learning/WWRACE interlock in annual planning cycles. Ensure WWRACE plans support VMware Learning goals and are achievable. Liaise with VMware Learning geo leadership to implement plans that support the GEO’s overall plan.
Work with WWRACE leadership to ensure sufficient resource allocations exist to support VMware Learning objectives.
Provides single view of WWRACE to VMware Learning and vice versa. E.g. skills and capacity; content staffing lead times; product/content issues; project escalation and resolution; etc.
Understand industry, market and customer requirements to drive business insights and identify opportunities for customer training evolution. Partner with VMware Learning and WWRACE to develop strategies to manage evolution required.
Responsible for balancing investment in cost of service/scale initiatives with market penetration goals that change throughout an offering’s lifecycle.
Awareness of product and solution roadmap alignment to VMware Learning from WWRACE so the teams are uniformly made aware of product/content roadmap, value proposition, issues, tips, etc.
Pervasive air of collaboration, partnership and trust exists between VMware Learning and WWRACE
Maintains high quality, aligned business plan between VMware Learning and WWRACE
Reporting against key business metrics (e.g. revenue, consumption, etc) is defined, produced and is “single source of truth” for both VMware Learning and WWRACE
Skills and Competencies
Experience and knowledge of customer requirements and challenges
Demonstrated ability to influence across several functions to achieve results
Ability to create environment of collaboration and win/win for WWRACE and VMware Learning
Ability to drive data-based decisions and business justifications
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills and presence in front of executive stakeholders
Knowledge of product lifecycle, content development process, lifecycle planning and product management, as well as certification programs and learning platforms, strongly preferred
Subject matter expertise in VMware Learning and WWRACE to be credible with all stakeholders
Ability and desire to quickly learn new technology and products
Experience with online education / platform development required
2+ years’ experience with Modern App and/or Cybersecurity portfolio preferred
Significant commercial experience with customer VMware Learning is preferred.
Must have high technical aptitude
Experience in positioning, managing and/or developing customer education programs is required.
