Clinical Effectiveness (CE) – a market-leading, mission-driven business unit of Wolters Kluwer Health – is seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Executive to continue driving growth in their commercial health plan segment across the US.

We are searching for a Senior Major & Strategic Account Executive to join our team. This role is remote and can be located in any state.

As Senior Major & Strategic Account Executive you will connect directly with members of the C-suite and other key decision-makers across the commercial health plan segment to provide solutions that produce business and clinical outcomes and improve engagement and care quality for health consumers.

Using a value-driven, relationship-based solution sales model centered on highlighting tangible value for our clients, the Strategic Account Executive will secure new business by targeting named payer accounts and leverage consultative sales approaches to drive consumer health solution portfolio success.


  • Create and drive revenue within a specified region or list of named accounts

  • Generate business opportunities through professional networking and cold-calling

  • Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking, associations, etc.

  • Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas

  • Own the sales cycle - from lead generation to closure

  • Develop strategic territory business plan

  • Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within CRM

  • Generate leads from tradeshows and regional networking events

  • Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; MBA preferred

  • 5 + years outside Enterprise Sales

  • Digital health and care management workflow sales experience strongly preferred

  • A proven sales hunter and closer

  • Consistent achievement of year over year quota attainment of at least $1.5M in new revenue

  • Experience selling to the C-suite (CMO is a plus)

  • Experience in comprehending and delivering ROI/ Business Case

  • Experience crafting complex sales proposals with multiple SKU’s with advanced proficiency in excel

  • Ability to manage large extended teams consisting of product specialists, solution engineers, customer success, and training personnel

  • Expertise in Microsoft product suite and Salesforce preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 60%

Salary Range: $84,000 - $120,000
