State of Massachusetts Senior Editor/Producer in Boston, Massachusetts

JOB SUMMARY The Senior Editor/Producer will be responsible for the creation of an array of video content that captivates and resonates with Lottery audiences. This position will be a dual threat contributor who is self-sufficient in high quality content production with the ability to produce, shoot, and edit on their own as well as someone who is well versed in a studio setting for live or taped shows. The Senior Editor/Producer will supervise and lead production team members in these creative and technical endeavors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Produce, shoot and edit a variety of Lottery content ranging from serialized YouTube content, social media, or large-scale commercial productions in a variety of styles, lengths, and formats. · Must edit projects in their entirety from start to finish including color correction, color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, compositing, VFX, or whatever elements are needed to finish the project. · Assist with large and small-scale marketing shoots, with contributions in cinematography, lighting, audio or whatever is needed to complete the production. · Manage 1-2 production team members, helping guide, teach, and lead creative and technical efforts. · Manage Lottery’s YouTube channel, responsible for distribution schedule, thumbnail, and copy oversight. · Responsible for YouTube analytics and reporting, giving regular updates and future content recommendations based on performance and providing data driven solutions for improvements. · Develop and own new content series for Lottery’s YouTube channel designed to generate subscriptions and engagement. · Ability to create motion and/or animated graphics as needed, such as titles, lower thirds, transitions or other visual effects to bring edits to life. · Assist with the planning, producing, and building of all Lottery’s studio or remote live shows. · Proficiency in color correction, color grading, sound design, and sound mixing. · Creative lead on all Lottery live shows and production events, helping develop show formats, scripts, and rundowns. · Set up, test, operate, and tear down of equipment for live shows or production shoots including video switchers, audio mixers, cameras, lights, etc. · Studio/show responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, camera operator or stage managing. · Manage multiple projects simultaneously and revisions while adhering to tight deadlines while staying organized, meticulous, and motivated. · Must participate regularly in the execution and presentation of the Lottery’s daily drawings in accordance with official rules and procedures, upholding the integrity of the Lottery’s drawing process. · Must be able to work early mornings, nights, weekends, or holidays depending on projects and/or production needs. · The events of certain circumstances, i.e. State of Emergency, severe weather, Lottery need, etc., may determine this position to be considered as “essential" and must report to work. · Other duties as assigned related to the completion of tasks needed to execute content studio projects.
