This is what you will do:
The Senior Director, US Marketing is the leader of the commercial NF1 PN brand team and will play a critical role in developing and driving strategy and tactics for HCP and patient engagement. This individual will support the commercialization efforts for Alexion brand product, a MEK 1/2 inhibitor, approved by the FDA in April 2020, for the treatment of plexiform neurofibromas associated with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), a rare, incurable genetic condition. This individual will have three direct reports and will report to the Executive Director NF1 PN Marketing and TLL.
You will be responsible for:
Leading the development and executing strategic marketing plans in US, implementing key marketing initiatives such as disease state education, promotional messaging, non-personal promotion, patient education as well tactics in support of the patient diagnostic strategy and reimbursement support
Leading and developing a high-performing team of marketers
Developing deep customer insights through market research, advisory boards and ongoing KOL Engagements to inform marketing strategy and tactics
Tracking and monitoring business performance indicators
Leading definition of customer segments using data, transforming analytics into customer insights
Partnering with U.S. Sales leadership to implement commercial tactics and monitor their effectiveness
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other functional areas and internal strategic partners (i.e., Sales, TLLs, Training, Patient Services, Promotional Review Committee, Medical, Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, Compliance, etc.)
Managing marketing budgets and resources
Working with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct
You will need to have:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field
15+ years of professional experience; prefer marketing, sales, agency, or health care experience
Significant commercial experiences, with demonstrated success in marketing leadership positions is crucial
Prior experience leading teams
Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate in a matrix environment
Track record that demonstrates the ability to build high performing teams and support individuals in their professional development
Strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead

Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA)
Strong scientific orientation and background
Rare disease/high-value biologics experience
