We are looking for a leader to join the Salesforce Professional Services COO organization, responsible for leading Strategy and M&A Strategy. The position offers the opportunity to join a fast-paced team, responsible for overall strategy for the Professional Services business, and leading the Professional Services M&A strategy and integration efforts.
An ideal candidate has a strong background in management/strategy consulting, and/or internal strategy experience with a deep understanding of professional services as an industry; intelligence, flexibility, critical thinking, influence, organization, and self-motivation are crucial in this role.
Lead a rotating set of pivotal initiatives related to the Services business, taking open-ended desired outcomes and developing / implementing an approach, conducting research / analysis, and synthesizing information into thoughtful recommendations
Potential initiatives include acquisition integration strategy / planning, organizational and operating model strategy, global delivery model strategy and planning, new market analysis
Update and refine Professional Services strategy, including developing required strategy documents on an ongoing basis, as needed
Partner with the Professional Services analytics organization to develop data-driven insights and points of view
Own M&A strategy across business, including target selection / evaluation, due diligence, and a rotating set of acquisition integrations of services teams, working collaboratively with CSG M&A, Salesforce Corp Dev, acquired businesses, and legacy CSG Professional Services teams
Develop high quality presentations / documents / analyses that communicate recommendations
Socialize and work with field and operations team to implement initiatives
Grow and develop strategy team over time
10+ years experience in combination of management consulting, corporate development, and business line roles (experience with professional services is required)
Stellar problem solving skills: proven ability to structure sophisticated problems, develop solutions with little guidance, and craft high quality, detail oriented outputs
Strong communication and stakeholder relationship building skills
Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment with a highly collaborative, team oriented approach to problem solving
Ability to succeed in a collaborative, fast paced environment; ability to remain flexible and adjust on the fly to new demands and respond with a sense of urgency
Organized and efficient, results-oriented and able to move forward without complete information, very comfortable working in ambiguity
Strong executive-level visual and verbal presentation skills
Team leadership experience and skills developing hard-working teams, “win as a team” attitude and approach, overall willingness to feedback and growth mindset
Enterprise software / Software-as-a-Service experience (SaaS)
