And as ourSenior Director, Integrated Campaigns, you’ll play a critical role in helping bring the company’s audacious goals to life. You will bring your passion for innovative campaigns to bear as you lead a team of Integrated Campaigns Advisors to optimize channel and tactical mix across the B2B and B2C customer journeys. Reportingto theSVP, Demand Generation, you will leverage data, insights, and nurture expertise to inform strategies and oversee the planning, development and execution of multi-channel, integrated campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and positive customer behavior.

This is a ‘player-coach’ role, so you will own key campaigns end-to-end while ensuring all marketing programs are flawlessly executed, highly effective, and completed on-time and on-budget. A collaborative, creative, and analytical leader who is motivated by connecting meaningfully with customers, you will partner with other marketing leaders to bring our Cengage story to the world. A member of our Demand Generation leadership team, you will be a powerful influencer, partner and thought leader within the business who will define a comprehensive lead nurture approach, continually refine campaign planning and execution process, and ultimately demonstrate enhanced impact and ROI.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as both an individual contributor and team leader to plan, develop, and executemeasurable and scalable marketing programs with relevant key KPI’s, thatachieve stated objectives across key audiences

  • Overseecross-functional campaign teams, budgets and schedules, maintaining a collaborative work environment, interacting with teams throughout campaign phases

  • Monitor a prioritized schedule of deliverables while adjusting to changing priorities

  • Develop and publish a Campaign and Communications calendar to facilitate planning, manage workloads, eliminate conflicts, and ensure optimal customer experience

  • Leverage campaign, channel and campaign analytics, funnel metrics, best practices, and cross-team collaboration to measure and report on ongoing results, deepen understanding of customer segmentation and preferences, make recommendations to improve campaign performance, and proactively suggest new campaigns

  • Ensure integrated campaign plans are designed to generate customer loyalty, generate B2B leads, and influence consumer purchase decisions

  • Leverage market data and partner with Portfolio and Brand teams to develop Campaign themes/topics that support a point of view and educate customers to drive critical behaviors

  • Manage and mentor Integrated Campaigns team members to deepen overall campaign expertise, optimize nurture capabilities, and enhance top and middle funnel impact to generate more and better-quality leads and conversion

  • Collaborate with leaders from Marketing Strategy & Operations, Portfolio Marketing, Brand, Content & Creative, and Demand Generation to ensure alignment on priorities, define optimal processes, SLAs, templates, and budgets

  • Proactively communicate about recommendations, risks, challenges, and solutions

  • Manage outside agencies as required

  • Create menu based (“in a box”) demand creation programs for use at scale in strategic markets

  • Analyze industry trends, market conditions and competitors’ marketing tactics to offer recommendations on best ways to improve ROI

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • 10+ years’ experience as a proven leader in development and execution of successful B2B campaigns

  • A demonstrated track record of developing and executing insights-driven marketing campaigns that contribute to business outcomes

  • B2B experience required; mix of B2B and B2C experience preferred

  • Mix of agency and brand-side campaign development experience preferred

  • Experience creating and implementing proven reputation, demand creation, lead nurturing and pipeline acceleration programs

  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, collaborate, and lead cross-functionally

  • Strong coaching, mentoring, teaming and capability building skills to improve marketing contributions and overall effectiveness

  • Strong listening and probing skills to interpret needs effectively

  • Superior analytic skills, and the ability to compile, analyze and leverage performance data to reach targeted audiences and deliver a favorable ROI

  • Ability to leverage research, insights, and data to understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it

  • Ability to shift frequently between immediate needs and long-term planning

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize and collaborate vertically/horizontally in a fast-paced environment

  • High performing, high energy self-starter, with proven ability to work both independently as well as a member of high performance-output teams in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • Resilience, determination, positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done

  • Strong writing, analytic, communication and persuasion skills; ability to present compellingly and convincingly at the highest levels of the organization

  • History of budget management

  • Professionalism balanced with a fun attitude and sense of humor

  • Bachelor's degree required
