You will join Autodesk’s Education team, a 120-person business unit reporting directly into Autodesk’s CMO. We inspire and empower the next generation of innovators to pursue the skills, credentials, and experiences they need to reimagine possible and shape a thriving future for all. We do this by building awareness, generating demand, and driving usage of Autodesk technology, and preference for the Autodesk brand, with students, educators, and IT Admins in secondary and post-secondary segments worldwide.
Our work is heavily focused on shifting share from our competitors to our new cloud offerings in mechanical engineering, machining, CTE, and construction management programs. We’ve proven we know how to do this with our direct led sales and marketing motions at targeted accounts. Now, we’re ready to scale and automate through our partners and self-serve motions.
We also are responsible for fulfilling demand for Autodesk’s complete portfolio of desktop products and for moving all existing education customers from perpetual license to our subscription platform. We’ve proven we know how to do this with millions of individual students and educators. Now we’re preparing to move 10’s of thousands of education institutions and the millions of students associated with them.
Finally, we own marketing for Tinkercad, Autodesk’s popular web app for 3D design, electronics, and coding. Trusted by over 50 million people worldwide, we’ve proven we know how to build a passionate community. Now we’re ready to find ways to move these students from Tinkercad to our professional tools.
We are looking for an experienced, innovative marketing leader who has led strategy and execution of global marketing initiatives across a complex portfolio within a large, high tech, preferably SaaS, company. The ideal candidate will understand both enterprise and consumer marketing, have demonstrated success driving significant, data driven growth, and be passionate about and have reputation for inspiring, developing, and growing individuals and teams.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and lead a high-profile, global business that is core to the company’s long-term growth strategy, ownership for all aspects of the Autodesk’s marketing strategy and planning for Education, exposure and accountability to our CMO and other senior executives, and the satisfaction that comes from knowing your work is having a positive impact.
The Education Marketing lead will join the company as a Senior Director and be a key member of the Vice President of Education’s leadership team.
Lead 15-person global marketing organization, including content, demand gen, nurture, and field marketers, and a network of contractors and agencies
Define global enterprise and user marketing acquisition, retention, and renewal strategies for secondary and post-secondary segments
Build, execute, monitor, and optimize global and field campaigns to drive adoption and usage of Fusion and Tinkercad by students, educators, and IT Amins
Help define and execute customer digital journeys and maintain Education Community website
Build and execute communications plans, website updates, onboarding materials, and supporting sales and partner tools for annual launch of Autodesk’s product portfolio
Actively analyze and communicate marketing’s contribution to our business objectives and KPIs
Partner with Industry Strategy, Business Ops and Analytics, Product, Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to develop your strategies and plans
Monitor market trends and competitor actions and identify marketing strategies to address emerging opportunities
Actively participate and on the Vice President’s and business leadership team, helping to shape our business goals, strategies, and plans
You have demonstrated success leading global marketing initiatives across a complex portfolio within large, matrixed organization
You have hired, inspired, and effectively managed a global marketing organization
You have led your teams through structural and cultural change, and are passionate about creating connection and a sense of purpose
You understand content marketing, demand gen and growth marketing, from strategy through execution, in both enterprise and consumer marketing
You have grown and scaled a subscription-based business using data and A/B testing to inform and adjust
You are a storyteller who translates feature speak into customer benefits that resonate with employees, customers, partners, and the press
You have influenced, unified and secured support from C level executives and cross-functional stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization
You are willing and able to travel 25%, including internationally
You have successfully displaced an entrenched competitor in a mature and crowded marketplace
You have successfully led customers through a business model transition
You have knowledge of the Education market, EdTech sector, and/or Autodesk’s products
