Job Description Summary

Our Senior Director of Operational Excellence leader will ensure organizational effectiveness by providing operational leadership and oversight. As a key member of the leadership team, your role ensures the team has the resources, processes, assets and skills they need to deliver on Customer commitments while tracking ongoing execution and delivery of USCAN projects.

A key aspect of this role is being a business partner who will assist in bridging the gap between vision and execution, specifically related to balancing profitable growth, strategically managing costs and intelligently navigating risk. The successful candidate will develop operations procedures; create programs responsive to external environment; provide real-time and best in class data, rhythm and consistency; and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team focused on operational excellence in developing a consistent and best in class approach to enabling the success of the ITPS organization.

  • Have a consistent view of the overall USCAN HCD organization (specifically, ITPS) and look actively for opportunities for synergy and simplification.

  • Have a deep understanding of the data associated with the business (Project Health, Utilization, Backlog Financials, CSAT and KLAS scores) and the ongoing measurement against Operating Plan.

  • Demonstrate mastery of the intricacies of interactions and dynamics within the ITPS delivery teams. Assure consistent, effective rhythms for collecting data and publishing metrics.

  • Use disciplined approaches to monitor team progress via effective information dashboards for project execution velocity, financial performance, Customer satisfaction and quality requirements.

  • Be an expert in proactively using data, practical knowledge and innovative insights to drive timely decisions, determine appropriate courses of action, and forecast future needs while managing risk.

  • Develop onboarding programs that minimize the time to value for new ITPS delivery resources.

  • Navigate through ambiguity, prioritizes conflicting asks and shows ability to adapt to changing situations.

  • Demonstrate strategic level skills in collaborating with different stakeholders, influencing decisions and an ability to take strategic view.

  • Foster a culture of customer focus and drive high performance project execution through continuous engagement.

Success Criteria:

Major personal performance objectives for this role in the first 12 months are:

  • Finalize and drive usage and adoption of the revenue change council and associated templates

  • Collaborate with Org Readiness team in defining an enhanced to go to market approach from UPT to EA to GA specific to training USCAN ITPS teams and building associated delivery assets

  • Define and rollout an updated process to ensure quality audit compliance against new auditing partner requirements

  • Outline a predictable and real-time feedback approach to Product Management, Engineering, Org Readiness relating to product performance, team training, etc…

  • Establish a quarterly reporting mechanism to internal business stakeholders on OpEx team focus areas and accomplishments to date

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably within a business or STEM field

  • 10+ years’ work experience.

  • 7+ years working in a software environment

The salary range for this position is $140 - 160K. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus ONLY IF APPLICABLE. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave.
