Innovative opportunity to lead a highly talented BCBSMA team responsible for Digital Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. Our goal as visualization and analytics team is to act as data steward for our business partners. We're looking for a leader in our analytics delivery team to work closely with Business Leaders, Product Managers, Data Scientists and Software Engineers to drive insights from a wide range of digital product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Act as data stewards across the organization ensuring that the business leverage data to drive decisions

  • Manage and mentor peer and junior data product owners to adopt agile processes of building and delivering data products.

  • Responsible for defining stories, prioritizing the team backlog and ensuring its visibility to business partners and ET leadership.

  • Own and maintain business dashboards from executive level dashboards to detailed story telling oriented dashboards/insights.

  • Attends and actively participates in Team Ceremonies: Iteration Planning, Daily Scrum, Iteration Review, Iteration Retrospective.

  • Manage upstream and downstream business communication related to product being developed and to meet critical business needs.

  • Understands data architecture, solutions and platforms supporting enterprise data & integration transformation working with infrastructure and data engineers.

  • Stay on top of all relevant healthcare and consumer technology trends, competitors, and market offerings.

  • Document and maintain data dictionaries at a regular basis

Required Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of analytics experience

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience

  • Strong analytical skills, including analysis and modeling of big data, statistics, and experimental design

  • Familiarity with a breadth of statistical and machine-learning modeling techniques

  • Familiarity with healthcare payer data, member journey, marketing, member service and clickstream data

  • Expert SQL skills and programmatic expertise in Python

  • Deep experience and expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Experience working in Agile framework

  • Active problem solver and creative thinker who can think on their feet and define and manage an ongoing test & learn agenda.

  • Must be highly adept and capable of building and maintaining trusting partnerships and collaborative relationships across the organization

  • Healthcare domain knowledge is a huge plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or another technical field

  • MS in data science or business analytics preferred
