VMware Senior Customer Programs Manager - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Boston, Massachusetts

You will play a lead role in program managing various types of customer programs. You will be required to engage cross functionally across key organizations at the customer, VMware, and Partners.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for program managing various types of customer programs such as Design Customer Programs, Demos, Proof-of-Concept and Network Trials. As part of these programs, you will be responsible for working with various organizations within VMware, Partner and Customer organization to provide a more holistic program status.

  • You will be responsible for identifying and managing the various risk / issues as part of the overall program management responsibilities. You will be responsible for putting together a ‘Get-to-Green’ plan for any customers programs that require escalated support.

  • You will also be responsible for providing regular status updates on all customer programs to the Exec Leadership Team within VMWare.

  • You will be responsible for managing product gap issues with a short-term fix to ensure immediate success of these programs. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the long-term solution for these product gaps is fixed as part of the future product releases.

  • You will be responsible for managing the programs using the customer programs framework. You will be responsible for enhancing the framework by providing valuable feedback based on the learning from the various programs.

Requirements:

  • A proven record of program managing global multi-million-dollar customer programs with complex schedules and multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to manage customer escalations by working with the customer, partner, and various cross-functional groups within the company

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills with the ability to successfully communicate ideas and recommendations to all levels within an organization.

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience

  • PMI / PMP or equivalent Program Management certification

Added Advantage

  • Detailed understanding of VMware suite of products – especially the Telco product and solution offering

  • A solid background in the core technologies in 5G; including cloud, virtualization, orchestration, software defined networking, and automation.

  • Deep business & Technical experience both with mobile networks and with mobile service providers, that ideally spans both the RAN and RIC
