KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Communications Tax to join our Corporate Communications group organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy a holistic approach to communications - connecting dots between internal, external, and social media content; Research and closely monitor relevant news topics, generate media lists, draft pitches, and build relationships with mainstream and trade reporters

  • Help secure impactful media opportunities, craft thought leadership and seek out speaking engagements for senior leaders on tax policy and business topics; Execute on internal communications campaigns for Tax (an organization of 8,000+ employees)

  • Assist with developing and enacting social media campaigns and manage social media profiles of senior Tax leaders

  • Synthesize often complex business/tax issues, e.g. tax policy changes, into concise and easy-to-understand digestible content

  • Apply rigorous attention to research and metrics, incorporating insights and trends into communications tactics

  • Work closely with Communications Directors to support strategic priorities of the business

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of experience working in Communications and preferably a related profession; agency experience a plus

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Public Affairs, Business, or related field

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofing skills, as well as experience in communications program development

  • Strong technical aptitude; proficiency with Social Media Platforms, Excel, communications measurement tools and internal/external communications channels (Newswire services, media databases, etc.)

  • Deep understanding of social and digital communications tactics; ability to thrive and be flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Successful track record as a collaborator, multi-tasker, critical thinker, and self-starter who exercises discretion and independent judgment
