Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Manager is a management role responsible for leading a team of Inside Sales Representatives in the DSBU commercial organization. The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring the sales team has a well-managed inbound process and that the department has a consistently improving outbound program. This person will report directly to the Director of Commercial Excellence and support driving efficiency at the top of the funnel. Additionally, this role will partner with commercial leadership to support pipeline development and the regional sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team of inside sellers; manage and grow the team through efficient metric-driven strategies

  • Support inbound and outbound efforts with appropriate scripts and cadences

  • Craft and optimize client messaging

  • Research competitor activity to stay informed of new products, services, and messaging to enhance organizational competitive advantage

  • Partner with Marketing to develop effective messaging around outbound communication and to offer feedback on language conversion

  • Achieve agreed upon lead conversion targets to support Commercial sales organization

  • Develop and regularly update SOPs for optimal job performance

  • Support development and optimization of the sales tech stack

  • Report accurate and up-to-date metrics to the leadership team

  • Participate in weekly sales meetings

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills

  • Ability to structure, build, and optimize inbound and outbound processes

  • Ability to work within a matrixed environment and build solid relationships/make connections across the organization

  • Experience building and running a Sales Development or Inside Sales organization required

Non-negotiable Hiring Criteria

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 3 years managing an inside sales teams or equivalent experience required

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; strong background in sales and SDR or Inside management preferred

  • Experience with CRMs and Outbound tools

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Travel estimated at 0 – 25%
