The Sales Manager will have responsibility for the profitable growth of GE Power Lifecycle Solutions (LS) Hydro product and service lines at Industrial, Utility, and IPP end user customers by owning the external LS Orders Operating Plan for North Region.
As the Sales Manager, you will:
Be responsible for product / service lines, including Field Services, Generator Rewinds / Upgrades, and spare parts
Lead transactional order closing strategies on own or with other Sales / Commercial Managers to drive results and meet Operating Plan Objectives (Budgets)
Accurately forecast pipeline of opportunities including; Orders and Sales for a given sales territory in GE's Salesforce.com system on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Meet and exceed individual orders targets with focus on convertible orders and profitable growth
Develop and use of customer presentations to convey Lifecycle Services Sales portfolio of Services in Hydro segment to specific customer targets
Develop new customers and grow existing customer market share in Lifecycle Services
Develop customer relationships at the transactional level with key decision makers and vertically integrate accounts to upper management and executive levels, continuously moving accounts from transnational to the enterprise selling level
Provide competitive market feedback to the business on any proposals, win or lose via use of Salesforce.com
Assist in all major proposal generation including; Terms and Conditions negotiations with customers
Control operating and entertainment expenses within approved budgets (T&L)
Collaborate with the Application Engineers, Technical Proposal Managers, and Repair Sales Managers needed to qualify, quantify, and close key orders
Provide customer insights to key service offering gaps for New offerings development
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, or hands-on experience with GE's Industrial Services portfolio)
Minimum 7 years of experience in Industrial Services Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Application Engineering, Field Service, and/or Technical Sales
Strong background and experience with Hydro Services
Electrical Engineering, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or Advanced Engineering Degree
Master's Degree in Business (MBA) from an accredited college or university
Black or Green Belt Certification or equivalent Quality certification
Technical Sales Program Graduate (TSLP, CLP, or ECLP)
Proven customer centric behaviors and consistent track record of meeting objectives
High proficiency in utilizing electronic sales tools including; Salesforce.com, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
Strong Interpersonal and team building skills
Industry process experience in Hydro and/or Utilities
Proven performance in developing and maintaining executive level business relationships
Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously
Ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts
