What you’ll do:

Sales Manager - Expert – Life Sciences, North America

Location: North-Eastern USA

Hybrid Intelligence, a specialist group within Capgemini Engineering, is looking for an experienced expert sales manager to sell our services primarily into the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors of North America. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow our business through consultancy services and delivering data science, AI and scientific computing to help our blue-chip clients innovate and develop.

As a key member of the sales team at Hybrid Intelligence (HI), you will report directly to the North American HI Director, with dotted line reporting to the Capgemini Engineering Life Science US sales VP. Working with an expert sales and presales team, together with our industry consultants you will collaborate to deliver a step change in business growth.


  • Achieving growth and revenue targets in the life sciences sectors. You will be expected to forecast and evolve revenue projections for the full financial year.

  • Developing our customer base. You will work closely with Capgemini staff to bring our unique service offerings into established Capgemini customers and develop new accounts for our services.

  • Delivering direct sales of data science consultancy services and related software development into prospects and clients in your market.

  • Lead by example in building and maintaining strong relationships with the wider Capgemini Group, contributing to Capgemini Group bids where appropriate, and ensuring that those contributions are reflected in revenue to Hybrid Intelligence.

OTE and benefits package will be determined based on skills and relevant experience. You must be comfortable traveling to meet with prospects and customers within the US and occasionally further afield. Our post-Covid working patterns are a mix of working remotely and spending some time in one of our offices, and as you will be selling the capabilities of our highly skilled consultants, regular contact with them will be critical to your success.

What you’ll have:


  • A good scientific understanding of the key stages and activities involved in drug research, development, and manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge and credibility in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

  • 5 years’ experience and track record of success in selling consultancy or capability services. We are not looking for experience purely in product sales.

  • BS, MS or PhD in a science or engineering related discipline, with an understanding of data science and AI.

  • Experience of owning and delivering against multi $M targets, delivering profitable growth.

  • Experience of working with senior client and internal stakeholders, at VP and C-level, and acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Ability to put together winning proposals through direct sales and in response to tenders.
