Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through paid search engine marketing, native and retail solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform.
We are seeking a top performing Sales Excellence and Strategy Managers to drive our Relationship Management and Sales Manager Excellence programs efforts via process and program management to enable growth in the Microsoft Advertising space. We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset, a keen focus on client obsession and a drive for execution excellence. As a Sales Excellence and Strategy Manager, you will lead and enable sales & sales managers within exceptionally motivated and growing sales teams globally. This roles is instrumental to landing plans, processes and tools, evolving sales behaviours and capabilites, and requires someone expert at effectively creating and managing complex, innovative, and scalable solutions to enable Microsoft Advertising evolution.
Responsible for developing and landing processes and execution plans to enable agility, integration and scalable programs in the short, medium, and long-term to support MSA’s multi-year goals.
Partner with all teams involved in Sales Enablement; Tools & Data, Engineering, Sales, Training; and also Marketing, Business and other partners as needed, to ensure all regional/global stakeholders understand the impact the programs may have in their orgs, track execution plans, document risks, and establishing the right rhythm of engagement to evolve and drive improvements to current sales processes and tools.
Partner with all teams involved in the supply business; Global Partner, Engineering, Product Marketing, Business Development; and also Sales, Business and other partners as needed, to ensure all regional/global stakeholders understand the impact the projects may have in their orgs, track execution plans, document risks, and establishing the right rhythm of engagement to evolve and drive improvements to current supply processes, tools and technology.
Design, document, influence the vision for what Microsoft Advertising scalable solutions will be delivered to our sales and sales manager teams and customers in the Microsoft Advertising space, in order to enable the effective behavioural change in various verticals and regions.
Measure process and execution impact and efficacy, and develop targeted action plans to remediate gaps, where necessary.
Proactively understand the challenges and impacts raised during execution motions and build strategies for improvement.
Lead reviews with Sales and Operation Leadership as needed to discuss execution and strategy.
Surface Sales feedback within Global Operations, Engineering and partners to ensure consistent balance of business need and client need, including influence into tooling and product evolution.
Job Requirements: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
4+ years experience in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
3+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
3+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience.
Self-starter who is flexible and has the ability to adapt to a certain level of ambiguity in order to build programs from ground up.
Strong understanding of Digital Advertising, with track record of project management, program management and process design.
Strong communication skills in all areas of the business, from Senior Leadership through to sales managers and individual contributors, with high attention to clear and concise delivery.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success.
Willingness to adapt quickly to shifting business priorities and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to function effectively in a highly-matrixed work environment; with strong cross-functional team collaboration skills.
Demonstrated experience in developing end-to-end process to support complex business problems.
Experience in navigating selling motions from very large advertisers, to medium and small, through direct sales (including managed and unmanaged clients), agencies, channel partners, resellers, sales houses, etc.
Strong change management experience, with a natural gravity towards influencing without authority.
Experience on the digital advertising landscape from supply, demand & product; with good understanding of the different sales motions from large advertisers, to medium and small, through direct sales (including managed and unmanaged clients), agencies, channel partners, resellers, sales houses, etc.
