Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through paid search engine marketing, native and retail solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform.
We are seeking two top performing Sales Excellence and Strategy Managers to drive our Go-To-Market and scalable programs efforts via process and program management to enable growth in our Microsoft Advertising offering. One of these Sales Excellence and Strategy Managers will be aligned to Paid Search and the other will be aligned to our Native and Display business (Microsoft Audience Network). We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset, a keen focus on client obsession and a drive for execution excellence. As a Sales Excellence and Strategy Manager, you will lead and enable sales & support excellence within an exceptionally motivated and growing sales & support teams. These roles are instrumental to landing products, processes, and changes in the team and being experts at effectively creating and managing complex, innovative, and scalable solutions to enable Microsoft Advertising and Microsoft Audience Network product evolution.
Responsible for developing and landing processes and execution plans to enable product agility, scalable sales programs in the short, medium, and long-term to support MSA’s multi-year goals.
Measure process and execution impact and efficacy, and develop targeted action plans to remediate gaps, where necessary.
Design, document, influence the vision for what Microsoft Advertising scalable solutions will deliver to customers via Unmanaged (primary priority) and Managed (secondary priority) sales motions and drive alignment across MSA LT.
Lead reviews with Sales and Global Operations Leadership as needed to discuss execution and strategy.
Partner with all teams involved in GTM and Sales Specialists (for Microsoft Audience Network only), Engineering, field Sales and other partners as needed to ensure all regional/global stakeholders understand the impact the launch will have for their orgs, tracking execution plans, document risks, and establishing the right rhythm of engagement to evolve and drive improvements to current sales processes.
Surface Sales and client feedback within Global Operations and partners to ensure consistent balance of business need and client need, including influence into tooling and product evolution.
Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
Strong understanding of either Digital Native / Display OR Paid Search Advertising experience with track record of pipeline management, display & video or Paid Search ads selling is required. Display/Native + Paid Search is a plus.
Experience in navigating selling motions from very large advertisers, to medium and small, through direct sales (including managed and unmanaged clients), agencies, channel partners, resellers, sales houses, etc.
Strong communication skills in all areas of the business – from Senior Leadership through all field – with high attention to clear and concise delivery.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success.
Ability to live with ambiguity and building programs from ground up.
Willingness to adapt quickly to shifting business priorities and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to function effectively in a highly-matrixed work environment; with strong cross-functional team collaboration skills.
Demonstrated experience in developing end-to-end process to support complex business problems.
