Role: Sales Director

Location: McLean, VA (Remote Ok)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus will be selling into defined segment of Banks, Credit Unions, and REITS within SS&C Primatics’ target market of financial institutions that hold loan portfolios of greater than $1B

  • Target buyers will be SVP & C-level executives (CFO, CRO, CCO, CAO, etc.)

  • Typical sales cycle is 6-12 months

  • Average deal size greater than $300k

  • Business development (new sales) and (cross-sales) responsibilities

  • Extensive travel within assigned target market (Virtual Meetings)

  • Responsible for creating sales opportunities with assigned target list of prospects and current clients

    Candidate Profile:

  • Achieve sales objectives through sales to new and current customers.

  • Identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking, and partner relationships.

  • Manage sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation and close.

  • Work closely with internal resources and cross-functional partners to drive events, promotions, and partnering.

  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about our products and services.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the territory, marketplace, competitive offerings, and other business issues relevant to your role.

  • Increase opportunities through relationships with our partners and other third parties.

  • Document daily sales activities in Salesforce, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage pipeline, and perform other tasks necessary to drive sales revenue and communicate activities to sales management.

  • Be an active team player on the sales team, and with business partners.

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 5-10 years prior experience selling to banks/financial institutions preferred

  • 5-10 years of successful B2B software sales experience with a strong emphasis on acquiring net-new customers and developing territories

  • Experience selling to CROs, CFOs and Finance & Accounting executives

  • Documented success achieving and exceeding assigned quotas of $4mil+ per year

  • A consultative, solution-based sales methodology (Challenger Sales experience a Big Plus)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion & influence

  • PC and Internet skills including: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Salesforce, and web presentation applications (Zoom, Webex, etc.)

  • Sales experience with financial/accounting applications and/or hosted software solutions is a strong plus although not a requirement
