Job description:

At Workvivo, we understand that the key to growth is in a high-performing sales team. To help us achieve this, we are seeking a self-driven Sales Development Manager to be based in Boston and lead our growing Boston team. You will build, hire, and manage a team of seven BDR/SDRs. Your team will be the first point of contact for prospective customers from our Enterprise and Major Accounts segments and focus on qualifying opportunities from inbound leads as well as sourcing outbound opportunities.

Reporting to the Workvivo Global SDR Manager you will have a great opportunity to build your management skills and sales skillset and advance your career while working closely with our sales, marketing and leadership teams to help shape our sales process and team culture.

The Role:

The Sales Development Manager, Boston is a crucial Workvivo Sales Team member. This role will be a key contributor to creating sales opportunities across all outbound and inbound channels. You’ll be expected to lead the team and exceed team pipeline goals while being a player/coach.


  • Build, hire, and manage a team of BDRs (outbound) and SDRs (inbound)

  • Nurture, develop and coach your team to ensure they hit KPIs

  • Execute personalized and scalable outbound sales campaign strategies

  • Work closely with Marketing on defining campaign follow-up and reporting

  • Manage and optimize inbound conversion rates from MQL to opportunity

  • Work closely with sales managers and reps to ensure lead quality/quantity and accurate follow-up

  • Track and report on team and individual results and KPIs, constantly driving performance and process improvement

  • Work with Sales and Sales Enablement in developing each team member's sales, product, process and industry skills

  • Motivate team members through creative incentives

  • Collaborate and align value messaging with Marketing and Product

  • Highlight trends and engagement insights to the wider Sales, Solutions and Marketing team

  • Nurture and manage cross-functional relationships with Sales managers, Sales Enablement, Revenue Operations, and Marketing

  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements in process, efficiency and productivity

  • Oversee usage of team systems, including Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomIQ, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Cognism etc.

    Requirements :

  • 3+ years of Sales Development or quota carrying experience in a technology company

  • Direct SaaS / Cloud selling experience; preferably in a leadership role

  • Experience improving Sales Development critical metrics

  • Experience running successful weekly and monthly team meetings

  • Experience with Sales Tech Stack (Outreach, Hubspot, LinkedIn, Zoominfo, Cognism etc.).

  • Must have strong verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen

  • Must be detail oriented, organized, ethical, responsible and self-motivated

  • Strong collaboration and relational skills

  • Business forecasting, lead/pipeline development and management skills are required

  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:





In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
