The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe PREVENA Sales Development Manager will work with existing 3M Acute Care – Surgical Solutions and Key Account resources to cultivate PREVENA incision management product usage and clinical adoption within key identified accounts. The Manager will strengthen relationships with hospitals and surgeons by adding clinical credibility and effective education through KOL influencers. They are responsible for developing new business and increasing penetration in top growth accounts. This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Leader.

As a Sales Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most creative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Influencing C-Suite, Key Opinion Leaders and Value Analysis to cultivate utilization of PREVENA in key accounts.

  • Influencing clinical protocols that incorporate consistent utilization of PREVENA for all identified patient profiles.

  • Driving sales in large IDN’s with high opportunity and potential in their assigned area.

  • Coaching and partnering with sales leadership and Acute Care – Surgical Solutions sales representatives to identify targets and PREVENA sales penetration.

  • Leading development of account planning for assigned accounts, driving account strategy and execution.

  • Developing partnerships with sales field to develop regional KOL and surgeon influencers.

  • Strengthening relationships with customers by establishing high clinical credibility.

  • Assisting sales leadership, field sales professionals and 3M teams to deliver solutions to our customers.

  • Engaging with Key Account Managers on large cross-department, cross-network contracts.

  • Providing economic and clinical selling messages to key opinion leaders, protocol decision makers and clinical buyers to increase PREVENA Usage.

  • Leveraging 3M marketing and education programs to strengthen growth in top accounts.

  • Educating and partnering with regional sales and clinical specialists to increase PREVENA sales.

  • Assisting in driving successful product and program launches within the PREVENA Product Family.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Five (5) combined years healthcare business sales and/or clinical experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience

  • MBA

  • Comfort and expertise in an OR Setting

  • Clinical wound care, related patient care experience or other strong clinically-related acumen

  • Completion of a formal sales training program

  • Strong strategic mindset, yet proficient in tactical planning and execution

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational skills

  • Exhibits exemplary teamwork and matrix-management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to influence without direct report authority

  • Strong professional speaking and presentation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, performance-driven environment

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic with overnight stays
