How will you make an impact?

Regional Sales Manager provides sales expertise and account management leading all selling and commercial activities within existing markets for the Product Inspection business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD), focusing on food safety via product inspection solutions. This Regional Sales Manager maintains effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. The regional manager will focus their efforts in the North and South Eastern Region of the US, states included but not limited to ME,VT, NH,NY,PA,NJ,MD,DE,WV,VA,NC,TN,GA,FL,AL,MS,AR.

What will you do?

  • Achieve forecasted sales goals for territory selling directly to customers and, supporting Independent Sales Organizations (ISO).

  • Provide support and assistance to customers, OEM's and engineering firms that will improve long-term business results and relationships.

  • Meet and exceed customer requirements including overall communication, responsiveness, cost awareness and scheduling sensitivities

  • Maintain and continue to develop an outstanding knowledge of our products and their applications.

  • Support, train and motivate Independent Sales Organizations (ISO) to optimize achievement of our sales goals via their efforts.

  • Coordinate sales activities with other regions product lines and the inside sales team.

  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence and information to supervisor and other company personnel as the need arises. Utilize Salesforce.com daily by updating and adding notes, customer information, etc.

  • Available to travel overnight approximately 50% of time.

  • Report sales data optimally through CRM and other tools.

How will you get here?

  • 3-5 years of sales experience, familiarity with or science background preferred.

  • 2 years sales experience in the food manufacturing industry

  • Bachelor's degree, bonus points if in the sciences!

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and the internet

  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Proven commercial excellence working in matrix environment.
