North East Regional Sales Manager

Do you have the leadership and sales management skills to motivate, train and coach a team of Territory Sales Reps and Independent Reps to achieve their full potential and achieve and/ or exceed your region's sales and profit goals?

We are looking for a high-level Regional Sales Manager to join our Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing team.

In this role you will manage our existing sales team of direct sales reps and Independent Reps to help expand our commercial waterproofing and wall system market share by leveraging existing customer and other relationships and developing new relationships and markets in the commercial space.

This role will be ideally located in Philadelphia, Boston, or Northern NJ and will cover NJ, NY, PA, CT, MA, RI, NH, VT, ME. Up to 50% overnight travel to be expected.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales team's efforts to an increasing territory specification position and credibility, utilizing Carlisle tools by presenting CCW waterproofing and AVB systems to design professionals, consultants and building owners.

  • Direct regional sales activities to achieve continuous profitable sales growth by developing and managing to a regional sales plan. This includes: Management, training and recruitment of Sales Representatives; Management of regional pricing and special quote activities; Oversee the development of key customers; and, Tracking and improving the regional product mix based on strategic growth initiatives.

  • Provide leadership, training, coaching to the sales team to achieve the region's stated sales and pricing goals.

  • Develop strong relationships quickly with both new and existing clients. Must be able to maintain these relationships and build up trust as an industry expert

  • Develop a Regional Growth Plan for achieving goals with detailed strategies, tactics and timeframes and have sales team develop their individual Territory Sales Plans to support the Regional Plan

  • Conduct monthly 1:1's with all sales team members to include Opportunity Pipeline Management, goal setting, performance management and sales plan implementation

  • Perform Quarterly Performance Reviews against detailed performance metrics

  • Manage against Carlisle CCW's sales process.

  • Make joint sales calls with sales team members and provide appropriate pre and post call coaching.

  • Understand and promote the full range of CCW Waterproofing Solutions while differentiating our solutions from that of our competitors

  • Support all CCW growth initiatives including sales strategies, pricing and specification initiatives

  • Submit all required reports in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Continuously upgrade the effectiveness of the sales team

  • Develop strong relationships with key vendors and be active in targeted industry organizations.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ success in a sales management capacity in the commercial construction market

  • Previous commercial waterproofing sales and/ or sales management experience a plus as is waterproofing installer experience

  • Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills

  • Strong leadership and team building skills

  • Opportunity Pipeline Management

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills

  • Sales process coaching skills with ability to create a culture of accountability

  • Strong desire and unwavering commitment to success

  • Proven demonstrated success as a consultative seller

  • Executive selling skills including account management, sales, prospecting, and listening skills supported by a strong work ethic

  • Strategic planning and sales plan implementation is a must

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are required to effectively manage the region, multiple tasks and deliverables. Travel required approximately 30%.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • College degree required or commensurate applicable sales/business experience
