Integrated DNA Technologies Regional Sales Manager - Boston in Boston, Massachusetts
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing a team of Technical Sales Representatives in a specified area. This role ensures profitable growth in sales, revenue through planning, execution and management of a supportive team.
Supervises and directs staff which would include employee hiring, training, evaluations and discipline.
Initiate and participate in on-site vendor shows.
Plan customer visits to arrange meetings, presentations and technical demonstrations.
Provide sales forecasting, establish sales goals and pipeline management for the assigned territory.
Develop the sales strategy for the region: identify and organize the customer base, deploy sales strategy in the field; recommend and implement action plans; share information internally; identify and leverage new business opportunities.
Prospect and develop new target customers including key accounts.
Position the company as the solution provider and customer advocate.
Development and execution of the sales plan in key target segments: pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic.
Work with the Field Application Scientific team, Business Development, and Product Management to ensure sales targets are met.
Demonstrates and upholds behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values and delivers the Integrated DNA Technologies experience to customers and other business associates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required; Advanced degree in Life Sciences preferred.
Minimum of three years of a track record exceeding sales targets required.
Extensive familiarity with existing academic and corporate accounts in the specified region required.

Knowledge of Biotech, Academic and Government Research Accounts in the territory.
Proven ability to work independently in outside sales environment.
Proven ability to interact with all levels of IDT staff and management.
