POSITION SUMMARY

Work independently, initiate and/or lead marketing programs, initiatives, promotions, or research projects. Work closely with management in developing new products and in implementing new marketing approaches. Good working knowledge of the organization's products and the overall industry. Work fairly independently, typically on projects of moderate to complex projects. Takes initiative in communicating programs and resources and obtaining feedback from home office partners and field partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Regional Marketing Consultant is a highly visible, field-facing role that serves as a critical liaison between the Marketing & Business Development team and our sales network, MassMutual Financial Advisors (MMFA).

  • The primary role of the Regional Marketing Consultant is to drive quantifiable marketing.

  • They will also be responsible for driving higher usage of our national marketing programs and platforms; promoting consistency and effectiveness in local marketing efforts; and tracking and producing quantifiable business benefits in support of firm objectives.

  • The Regional Marketing Consultant will be assigned a specific region(s) and will cover all of the firms within that territory.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Serve as the marketing point of contact for MMFA management, firm leadership and marketing directors, driving the development of integrated marketing plans.

  • Responsible for the direction, coordination and implementation of integrated marketing plans for firms with opportunities in markets of focus, in partnership with subject matter experts.

  • Represent Marketing in MMFA forums (periodization calls, Sales Manager conferences, MM Academy, etc.).

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the market segment strategies and marketing programs to provide strategic consultation on opportunities, “connect the dots” with firms, and serve as the integration point for execution of marketing plans.

  • Keep abreast of strategic priorities and emerging trends to ensure our Marketing support model remains aligned and relevant to MMFA.

  • Agency experience preferred

  • Leadership experience and ability to build and maintain business relationships.
