Position Overview

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Regional Business Manager will be responsible for the promotion, sales and support of Medexus Pharma products in their assigned geography, while achieving all territory sales goals and maintaining compliance with Medexus Pharma’s policies that govern field sales activities. Specifically, the RBM will be responsible for the sale of Gleolan, providing on-label product information to key opinion leaders, health care professionals/accounts, and institutions. The RBM will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships within the neurosurgery therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Medexus Pharma products to designated targets and accounts with the goal of meeting/exceeding sales goals in assigned territory.

  • Drive business results in a specified territory through a blend of exceptional business acumen and professional performance skills and create a clear, comprehensive business plan to facilitate those results.

  • Demonstrate disease state and product expertise of Medexus Pharma’s products, knowledge of key customers in territory, competitor products and product objectives to be a reliable source of information to health care professionals within the territory.

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key personnel, HCPs/non-HCPs at targeted accounts.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with various functional areas within Medexus Pharma including Marketing, Managed Markets, Finance, Compliance and other team members.

  • Daily activities include one-on-one group and/or non-personal on-label sales presentations to targeted provided, in addition to preparing and analyzing market data to effectively identify customer and market trends. These activities also to include calling on non-prescribing decision makers including c-suite and other healthcare professionals.

  • Provide timely, accurate and competent administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization and expense reporting.

  • Enforce and follow commercial policies, applicable laws and practices in daily activities while promoting Medexus Pharma products with integrity in the marketplace.

  • Communicate openly with peers, supervisors and field counterparts.

  • Interpret and deliver competitive market intelligence to brand teams and management.

  • Identify and develop business solution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience with proven track record demonstrating top sales performance and achievements. Neurosurgery/Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred.

  • Must be able to meet requirements for healthcare credentialing agencies, to have access to healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals.

  • Ability to develop relationships with traditional field sales customers (healthcare providers) and hospital/academic institutions within the oncology/hematology – transplant and neurosurgery market.

  • Knowledge of hospital-based business practices,

  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare system processes including, but not limited to, reimbursement, formulary management, EMR systems and pathway/order set placement.

  • Possess a strong work ethic, ability to develop priorities and manage time appropriately.

  • Proactive, can-do approach; high motivational and persuasion skills.

  • Must have the ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment and demonstrate the Medexus Pharma values..

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Must have valid driver’s license.

  • Must be willing to travel. Frequent overnight travel will be required.

  • Established relationships with the neurosurgery community and/or experience with being in an operating room strongly preferred.
