Meta Real-Time VFX Artist - Sanzaru in Boston, Massachusetts
Summary:
Help bring fantastic worlds to life here at Sanzaru Meta, the studio behind the critically acclaimed Asgard’s Wrath! As a real-time VFX artist, you will work closely with designers, engineers, and artists, to create high-fidelity, impactful effects that will enhance gameplay and empower the overall game experience. Required Skills:
Real-Time VFX Artist - Sanzaru Responsibilities:
Create, optimize, and manage VFX assets
Collaborate with art, design, and engineering teams to iterate and polish VFX
Maintain and adhere to a consistent art style provided by project leads
Optimize VFX based on gameplay and technical constraints
Create and edit materials for VFX
Implement VFX using Blueprint and Sequencer UE4 tools
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working in VFX for games
Experience working in a group and operating autonomously with proven self-critique
Proven experience with artistic visual effects
Experience with composition/framing and a solid grasp of timing and color theory
Knowledge of Maya and Photoshop
Experience with accepting feedback and implementing suggestions
Experience developing and maintaining a visual language across multiple effects
Experience with collaboration and commitment to personal and peer development
Experience working in visual scripting environments such as Unreal Engine’s Cascade, Blueprints, and Material Editor

Background in animation and/or traditional art
Working knowledge of Houdini, Substance Painter, Maya Fluids or similar
Experience with scripting/programming languages
Experience working in VR
Public Compensation:
$121,000/year to $171,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
