What You Will Do:
The Guidehouse Proposal Development Center (PDC) is searching for a Proposal Manager to join the growing global Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure (ES&I) segment. This individual will be responsible for leading proposal activities to help win work with commercial and government clients. Guidehouse partners with energy companies, governments, investors, and global corporations as they adapt and optimize the use of resources and infrastructure to drive toward innovative, sustainable, resilient programs and operations. This position will involve you in a wide variety of work related to clean air, electronic vehicles, transportation infrastructure, and other exciting projects.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Coordinate with business teams to understand business plans and capture objectives
Participate as a company representative on external capture teams to gather important proposal information
Perform detailed analyses of requirements documents (e.g., RFP, RFQ, SOW) and communicate the results
Manage proposal development documentation (outline, team assignments, proposal management plan, schedule, kick-off meeting materials, writing plans)
Establish and maintain communications among teammates using collaborative tools, phone calls, e-mail, etc.
Lead and direct the team of writers and write assigned sections as needed
Provide direction and coordination of content for proposal graphics.
Perform substantive reviews of both text and graphics, ensure the assigned writing sections comply with RFP requirements, contain win strategies and win themes, and comply with standard format and style criteria
Own all sections of the proposal, having ultimate responsibility for production and coordinate delivery of all proposal documents.
Provide orientation and training for new proposal team members on the proposal development process and procedures, writing strategies, etc.
Coordinate with pricing staff to ensure that information needed to prepare the Cost Proposal is available and input is received on time
Coordinate and obtain Partner signoff
Attend win/loss debriefings and assist with developing lessons learned
Ensure that all documentation relevant to the project is retained in a systematic way
Able to work evenings or on weekends as required to meet proposal deadlines
What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree preferred
3-5 years relevant proposal writing, coordination, and management experience
Experience on complex government proposals
Superior communication, writing, formatting, editing, and proofing skills
High skill level with MS Word; proficient with PowerPoint and Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management
Work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, completing multiple complex tasks simultaneously
Time management, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to be adaptable and flexible to change
What Would Be Nice to Have:
Experience in relevant market sectors
Experience in Federal, state/local, and commercial proposals
Training or certification by APMP
US citizen and able to work on Federal proposals
The annual salary range for this position is $89,100.00-$133,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
