Gallagher Project Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

BOR Team Mission Statement:

The BOR Team is a specialized team that works with producers across the U.S. helping to drive new business and increase retention by providing strategic consulting and project management for RFP responses, new business presentations, stewardship reports, and other client communications.


Support Regional Sales Teams working to attract and retain high value clients by ensuring all informational material, including RFPs and stewardship reports, meets Gallagher’s professional quality standards and brand identity. Work with production teams to ensure materials are comprehensive and meet client deadlines.

Dominant priorities:

  1. Organic growth through partnerships with producers for effective client-facing messaging

  2. Increase Eastern Region’s (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast & Mid-South) new business win rate and retention rate due to improved messaging of Gallagher’s value proposition and quality of client-facing materials

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing project management and strategic consulting services for prospect and high-level clients:

  • RFP Responses, New Business Presentations, Stewardship Reports, and Significant Client Communications

  • Research prospects, their industries, and industry trends to add to proposals and support marketing initiatives

  • Using independent research and producer insight to draft compelling sales documents that sets Gallagher apart from its competitors  Research competitor’s’ materials and approaches to stay abreast of industry knowledge

  • Work alongside GGB Marketing, inclusive of Gallagher branding standards, to help producers and other professionals improve important client and prospect documents

  • Navigate Gallagher’s extensive internal information networks and build contacts to find and disseminate information to support BOR Team projects

  • Maintain and keep up-to-date repositories of information on internal staff, company data, information frequently used in proposals, and other sales documents in order to streamline sales process and work efficiency

  • Track proposal responses, presentation, collateral and other marketing projects to ensure producers provide necessary information in order to meet client deadlines

  • Work across Gallagher’s various 21 specialty niche specialties, developing a working knowledge of Gallagher’s retail brokerage practice groups ranging from public sector to agriculture

  • Help build standardized proposal responses by category

  • Innovation of new business development communication tools that can be rolled out nationally

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of various projects of a moderately complex nature and provides single point of contact for those projects

  • Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project

  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, team assignments, status reports

  • Must be familiar with the project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to coordinate the activities of the team


  • Assist with writing, editing, and coordinating RFP responses

  • Facilitate connections within Gallagher by introducing new products and services to response teams

  • Work with regional producers and national practice group leaders to create and improve client-facing deliverables

  • Build and maintain BOR Team’s organized library of marketing materials, RFPs, sales presentations, and stewardship reports

  • Research and summarize intel on prospects for RFPs and use this research to develop response strategy ideas

  • Monitor industry news for trends and opportunities

  • Work with in-house graphics department to design and complete marketing materials

  • Identify and gather graphics for future use in client-facing materials

  • Help sales producers correctly use and disseminate brand identity materials


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 or more years related experience

Desired :

  • Organizational skills as it relates to time management and coordinating multiple projects at any given time

  • Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with groups

  • Proactive, consultative

  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments

  • High-level experience in Microsoft Word

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, InDesign, database management systems
