As part of our next phase of growth and development, we are looking for a Program Manager, Technical Audiences Event Demand Generation to build awareness and drive event registration for our larger in-person events. About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Global Events Audience Acquisition, the person filling this role will be passionate about engaging Oracle’s technical audiences and communities, understanding their challenges and motivations and using your demand generation campaigns to influence them to register and attend our larger, in-person and hybrid global events.

This role is for an experienced digital marketer with a passion for developing, implementing and measuring effective campaigns to build awareness, drive registration and acquire the largest relevant audience. You thrive in funnel analytics, converse in acronyms like CPL, MQL, and conversion rates. You are focused on measurement from end-to-end, showing a positive return on investment (ROI) for all programs. You have knowledge of how all the tools of audience acquisition work and impact one another, as well as being able to analyze the end result, plus knowing when to adjust when new technologies and opportunities present themselves or prove to be more effective.

About You

You are a thoughtful, inclusive communicator with substantial and proven digital marketing experience in the meeting and events industry. Ideally, we are looking for 5+ years’ of demonstrated ability with demand generation and marketing of large-scale events/conferences.

You know how to employ a customer-first perspective and enjoy thinking through each nuance of the buyer’s journey as you build coordinated marketing plans across digital and other channels. Being intensely data-driven, you know what is required to improve event conversion rates and drive success using a test and learn approach.

You have excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure, often with concurrent critical timelines. You enjoy presenting, persuading, and influencing strategy based on data.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Working with the events team to learn the focus of the event and target audience, help build audience acquisition strategies, map out the tasks and results required to implement that strategy, and collaborate with the regions on global execution.

  • Content and Messaging: Manage the content creation process with copy writers and events teams. Develop assets that build clear value propositions and messaging that resonates globally, improves awareness for event topics or focus areas. Deliver content in time for regions to localize and translate for all their digital marketing channels. Collaborate with internal creative teams to craft the content within provided style guides and ensure all content follows brand and company standards.

  • Ongoing Management and Execution: Manage the day-to-day execution of audience acquisition tasks against the agreed upon deliverables (Bill of Materials) and timeline including scheduling, budgeting where appropriate, resource management, approvals, communications, performance reporting and presenting any and all during progress meetings within the event teams and across the audience acquisition team.

  • Sales Enablement and Communications: Collaborate with Internal Communications and Sales Engagement leads to ensure our internal audiences are empowered with the right information and tools to convince their customers, partners and relationships to attend your events.

  • Digital Marketing: Collaborate with web, brand/design, SEO, and user experience teams to implement digital marketing strategies to support the event, increase web traffic and engagement, and optimize the online user experience. Help draft, implement, test and optimize online activities to ensure new content, offers, and active promotions of the event are represented on oracle.com and across social channels.

  • Campaign Reporting: Analyze performance and results and optimize events in real-time. Supervise overall campaign performance including MQLs, pipeline, event participation and attendance, web traffic, and registration channels. Work with the analytics team to use the findings to make program and campaign improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years proven experience in a demand generation role

  • Experience in event marketing and/or audience acquisition a plus

  • Experience with strategy, planning, and execution of integrated demand generation and marketing campaigns, including high-touch campaigns supported by sales

  • Strong organizational, communication skills; comfortable communicating with senior management and global virtual teams

  • Team oriented and inclusive; composed under stress

  • Expertise in managing projects across various, regionally distributed teams

  • Ability to rapidly learn, internalize, and bring to bear event information

  • Creative and critical thinking and the ability to apply new uses and approaches to established tools and processes

This position can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada and may require some domestic and international travel (less than 25% of time).

Project leader of a team of event producers who develop and execute event marketing programs.

Meets with Product Marketing, Product Development, Field Sales, Field Marketing, Channels, and other internal groups to evaluate event objectives and requests and provides a recommendation for overall event strategy which maps to stated objective. Engages in research and competitive analysis to achieve an understanding of industry events and event strategies by topic area, audience segmentation etc. Researches market conditions which impact/influence event content and messaging such as social, economic, demographic and political factors. Develops overall strategy for event demand generation. Engages with Product Marketing, Development, and Programs Teams to develop and refine messaging and creative for invitations, web sites and other external and internal communication vehicles. Tracks and measures return on investment (event) through analysis of leads and impact on sales pipeline. Tracks trending of events by type (size, audience, seminar vs. c-level) and refines event strategies and overall event portfolio based on trending.

Job duties are varied and complex, independent judgment needed. Will have project lead role. 5 years relevant work experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry. Knowledge of budget, approval processes and resource allocations. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in event production and design needed.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are Colorado-specific.

Colorado Pay Range: from $33.65 to $63.46 per hour from $70,000 to $132,000 per annum eliglble for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
