Description

This US-based Program Manager for the Product Management team in the Oracle Healthcare group. The role’s primary focus is to support the product development process for various components/services within a product line/program. The Program Manager will work with the product teams to knit together product/service development projects into a holistic view that will provide senior management tactical and strategic insights to guide prioritization and portfolio planning decisions. The Program Manager will interface with Product Management, Strategy, Engineering, and Cloud Infrastructure teams to build out and continuously refine the program’s approach as business priorities are realigned to changing market conditions.

The ideal candidate is an experienced program manager with at least 5 - 7 years of diverse experience managing the delivery of software and infrastructure projects. Experience managing functional delivery teams is a plus. To be successful in this role, the Program Manager must:

  • Be a self-motivated, collaborative, technical minded individual with Software development or product delivery experience

  • Have demonstrable experience in agile software project and program management planning and scheduling

  • Possess a track record of driving results to support the successful execution of programs in a dynamic environment and experience leading or participating in process engineering and team building efforts

  • Have superior written, verbal, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills and the capability to communicate concisely and effectively with senior leaders and executives

  • Have expertise in building out complex program and project schedules in an industry recognized PPM tool such as Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, or MS Project.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage execution of project activities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage execution of product release management activities

  • Excellent program/project management skills with ability to drive complex strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Work with technical program management team in engineering

  • Create iteration work plans with input from strategy and product managers

  • Collaborate with program management, Product Managers and Engineering leads (Development, QA, IT) to validate that planned work maps to application platform goals

  • Work with business and technical leads to identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies

  • Track work progress and create audience appropriate status reporting

  • Maintain dashboards to track progress

  • Facilitate coordination and collaboration between multiple teams to avoid operational bottlenecks or idle time for team members

  • Facilitate lessons learned meetings and help technical and business managers execute on action items to improve project delivery related processes

  • Drive on schedule project outcomes by focusing on deliverables, identifying risks, dependencies, and obstacles, and taking ownership to manage and/or clear them

  • Work with the Development and Business managers along with Program Management to manage stakeholder and senior leadership expectations

Requirements:

  • Technical depth of experience to understand software development, cloud infrastructure, and QA delivery challenges and a desire to help shape solutions not just manage dates and deliverables

  • Diverse project management experience in a fast-paced, software delivery focused environment

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives (product development project experience is a plus)

  • Demonstrated servant manager approach with a "help get the job done attitude" to assist peers and project team members to smooth out process issues and overcome project obstacles

  • Established technical sensibilities to help align priorities within and across initiatives to find and expedite solutions when faced with resource, process or technical constraints

  • Confident team player who views himself/herself as a committed and involved participant in teams' undertakings and has a proven track record of team building and process improvement successes

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
