Amazon Program Compliance Manager, Managed Spend - Bid Capture in Boston, Massachusetts
Description
Do you have a passion for public sector and driving innovation to transform this growing part of Amazon Business? Are you an expert in solving customer problems, identifying new opportunities and building long-term strategies that excite and drive change for established and new customers? The Amazon Business Bid Capture team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Sr. Program Manager to manage existing and new public sector contracts. The position has a strong focus on being the face of Amazon Business to some of our largest customers. Responsibilities will include: ensuring contract compliance; liaising with C-level customer leadership and conveying voice of customer to our business leaders; leading any customer-driven program reviews; and developing performance standards for a variety of government and education programs.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in program management with public sector customers, such as DoD, public universities, or other state/federal agencies. This position requires the candidate to have: an eye for detail; exemplary follow through skills; an ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets; a comfort and skill in presenting to C-level customer executives; an ability to read and understand contract requirements and obligations; and demonstrate excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Own the contract obligations and customer contract relationship
• Participate in group reviews of all customer contractual and purchase documents
Work with partner teams to surface customer insights to drive improvements in pricing, selection and delivery experience capabilities
• Own an external customer business review mechanism (where required)
Own an internal regular customer business review mechanism
• Manage internal escalations and external customer messaging
About the team
The Managed Spend team develops and executes effective sales strategies to win the largest/most-complex contract spend deals across the Amazon Business customer base. We are on the leading edge of new-business acquisition and management for Amazon Business.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
6+ years of professional or military experience
Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
Experience managing large contracts/programs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
Knowledge of government and/or education regulations
Strong negotiation skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
