Affectiva Product & Program Manager, Media Analytics in Boston, Massachusetts

Built on deep learning, computer vision, speech science and massive amounts of real-world data, Affectiva’s technology can detect nuanced human emotions, complex cognitive states, activities, interactions and objects people use. In the media industry, Affectiva’s technology is used by 2/3 of the world’s largest advertisers to research consumer engagement with ads, videos and TV programming. In the automotive industry, Affectiva’s Interior Sensing AI is enabling leading car manufacturers, fleet managers and ridesharing companies to build next-generation mobility that understands the state of the driver, the cabin and the occupants in it.

The Role

As Technology Product & Program Manager you will work on bringing to market leading technology that is transforming the research and analytics market. You will apply your creativity, people skills, technical understanding and amazing organizational talent to ensure we define and release high quality software on schedule, that drives value for clients and revenue for the business.


● Collaborate with the client-facing teams, director of technology, applied AI, engineering and data teams to deliver market leading software tools

● Work with Director of technology, unit MD and clients / client team to establish relevant feature set for core Media Analytics tools

● Review and optimise Product & Project management processes and tracking protocolsto maximise efficiency and business visibility

● Manage the roadmap for key Media analytics AI tools – notably the core MA platform (“AffdDex”), & Emotion SDK

● Act as scrum master for teams Applied AI and Engineering teams

● Communicate technical information and host recurring update meetings with internal and external stakeholders

● Coordinate across multiple teams to estimate workloads and project execution timeline

● Manage cross-functional schedule and milestone tracking

● Track risk logs and mitigation efforts

● Drive timely deployments and deliveries

● Liaise with, and as necessary project manage science developments that deliver new metrics for the core tools

Qualification / skills / experience required:

● Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project/Program Manager

● B.Sc./B.A. in relevant degree or equivalent experience

● Proven experience with software product management

● Track-record of effective software technical project management

● Demonstrated strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical challenges

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

● Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

● Consistent track record of delivering high-complexity products to market

● Mastery of Agile/Scrum development process

Nice to have:

● Experience with SAAS software projects

● Experience with projects having a machine learning component

● Comfortable working on early-stage projects in a changing environment


Boston, USA preferable, but other locations may be considered
