Pluralsight Product Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Ever worked on a product where the requirements were dictated to you by stakeholders? Not at Pluralsight. We believe in human-centered design, autonomous teams, and the customer breaking the tie. We work on cross-functional teams made up of UX Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers focused on one goal: learning from our customers and using that knowledge to decide what problems to solve and how to solve them.

Today, we have Pluralsight Skill IQ, which enable individuals to measure and prove their technical skill in a specific technology, like JavaScript. Next, we are building Role IQ, which will use Skill IQs to comprehensively assess an individual's skills for a desired job role. Role IQ will help build great teams, direct future learning, facilitate career development, and take our learners’ skills to the next level.

We are looking for a results-oriented Product Manager to join our team in Boston to help make Role IQ a reality. You will develop a nuanced and deep understanding of how technical professionals learn and assess their skills for a job and how business leaders develop, staff, and organize their teams. You will establish a vision for Role IQ and define what success will look like.

Who you are:

  • You are focused on making progress every day

  • You are comfortable establishing and evangelizing a desired end state, or outcome, and motivating others to come along

  • You ask detailed and specific questions, understand nuance, and challenge conventional wisdom

  • You are curious, collaborative, and committed to something bigger

  • You care about the success of your customers

  • You understand how to distinguish what people ask for from what they actually need

What you’ll own:

  • Using user research and human-centered design to uncover customer problems and validate solutions

  • Setting the outcomes with your team based on the company vision

  • Testing proposed solutions cost-effectively to minimize risk while continuing to learn

  • Delivering strategically and iteratively to quickly and continuously provide value to enterprise and individual customers

  • Communicating on a technical, strategic, and conceptual level to facilitate collaboration, inspire teammates, and inform internal and external stakeholders

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Delivering value with web applications, preferably in an enterprise context

  • Collaborating with and facilitating the activities of an autonomous product team

  • Innovating new products and expanding existing platform capabilities
