Product Manager- Central Pharmacy Operations Software
Omnicell is the world leader in pharmacy automation, and we’re dedicated to becoming doctors’ and nurses’ most trusted partner. As a part of the central pharmacy operations software team, you will lead the area of complementary products related to core central pharmacy medication management. This position can be based remotely.
We’re seeking an analytic, data-driven product manager to complement the team and help drive a comprehensive, robust portfolio of products. This includes product lifecycle management, which spans a range of strategic and tactical responsibilities that evolve as a product matures. This role must be able to understand and represent the voice of the market to various stakeholders and drive decisions, strategies, and lead-based on this knowledge. As a Product Manager, you must also have the core competence to understand the impact decisions have on the operational and financial metrics of the business. Must be able to influence other departments in a productive, cohesive manner.
As a Product Manager, you will monitor and report on overall performance and work collaboratively to meet objectives. Most importantly, you know how to define and validate market opportunities, build business cases, and translate market and customer needs into your products' requirements.
Develop and refine prioritized product needs based on insights from market research, competitive analysis, customer engagement, business needs and collaboration with subject matter experts.
Collaborate with your product peers to prioritize problems to solve, make trade-off decisions, and ultimately translate your priorities into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
Own the successful delivery of your roadmap and the success of the overall product.
Effectively identify and manage cross-team dependencies.
Build effective relationships with engineering, design, QA, product marketing, sales, pharmacy consultants, technical sales, and a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
Develop communications material, value props, and high-level strategic justification to help explain “the why” of your product both internally and externally.
Develop relationships with customers and prospects, gather and understand customer feedback on existing products and products in development, and conduct effective interviews to better understand the context, pressures, complete understanding of the problems they need to solve to deliver the right solution.
Communicate the vision of the product, value proposition, and release goals to the cross-functional team as part of the release planning process.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Strong analytical skills and experience in using data to develop a nuanced understanding of your product and customers, and to create effective strategies.
Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, group presentations.
Flexibility to partner and negotiate with colleagues and customers at all levels inside and outside the organization.
Effective leadership skills and the ability to listen, communicate and motivate teams.
Work well with downstream teams and customers to understand and appropriately respond to market and business needs.
Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results.
Collaborative team player who can develop trust, influence where necessary and execute as promised
Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information, and make sound decisions.
3+ years of experience in product management with a proven record of successfully launching products
2+ years of experience:
developing and delivering software as a service (SaaS) product offerings
defining and delivering cloud-based software solutions
commercializing cloud-based software solutions
Experience managing product lifecycles
Experience working cross-functionally in the following:
Developing new products
Creating business cases
Creating marketing requirements
Participating in product launch activities
Experience with cloud-based software creation and delivery
Experience with agile software methodology and managing software feature backlogs
Experience in building healthcare products
Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations
Master’s in Business Administration
Previous product management experience
- Travel up to 30%
