You will…
Own the development and implementation of underwriting levers, agent commissions, and other non-rate actions
Execute on projects of high complexity using data to identify, test, and solve strategic challenges within the homeowners insurance space
Critically evaluate current processes and proposed solutions to drive the best outcome
Collaborate with Underwriting, Service, Distribution, IT, Claims, and Actuarial to execute on our strategy and channel feedback that can be used to improve product growth and profitability
Act as a product expert, demonstrating a thorough understanding of our range of products
Understand and monitor the competitive, legislative, and regulatory environment for homeowners insurance by proactively identifying emerging threats to our objectives and implementing solutions
Lead and develop a team of highly engaged product analysts
Serve as a mentor to other team members on aspects of project work, insurance, and general business knowledge

How insurance pricing works and how to navigate a complex regulatory environment
How to utilize quantitative approaches to generate sound business analyses with strong attention to detail
How to leverage predictive modeling and other quantitative concepts interpret these concepts for business application
How to synthesize multiple data sources to organize data into a logical format for analysis
How to take ownership of challenging business issues, making decisions with limited or incomplete data and see issues through to resolution
How to motivate a team of highly engaged analysts and data scientists

Experience with insurance product design and ratemaking
Programming query experience (SQL preferred)
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
Experience developing, prioritizing, and implementing a game changing product strategy
Experience managing relationships with stakeholders ranging from upper management to with technical developers
Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelors or higher level degree preferred
