Product Manager, Suite - CRE

A CoStar Product Manager is responsible for designing & delivering key components of the CoStar Group’s flagship CRE information products. CoStar Suite is comprised more than a dozen information modules, software tools, reporting capabilities, or analytic capabilities. Each of these critical components of product success needs a dedicated leader working to ensure that the component is as good and as useful as it can possibly be.

CoStar is seeking an experienced Product Manager who will focus on core product functionality that functions across all of the various modules. Functionality such as reporting, messaging, alerts, notifications, user administration, accessibility, etc are relevant to all product owners. The Core Suite Product Manager will ensure that all common and shared utilities meet the business needs of all stakeholders in a consistent and user-friendly design. As a Product Manager for CoStar Suite, you’ll help shape and execute the product strategy for our industry-leading commercial real estate information, analytics, and online marketplace platform. You’ll work closely with senior executives, customers, and CoStar’s world class technology, marketing, and sales teams to design, build, and launch new products and feature sets. The role will drive how core product features are integrated across all modules, focusing on ensuring consistent design and function, and ensuring each feature adequately supports the requirements of the various and diverse modules.


  • Shape & manage the product roadmap for CoStar Suite’s Core feature set

  • Drive product releases in a fast-paced Agile software development environment. This includes writing user stories (requirements), prioritizing releases, maintaining a product roadmap and backlog, and creating release notes.

  • Work closely with senior executives, UI design, engineering, QA, marketing and sales to strategize, plan, and build products and plans that meet aggressive expectations on usage and revenue.

  • Meet with, understand and analyze customer needs and communicate those needs to other team members to build key use cases.

  • Organize user testing, collect feedback and organize into actionable development priorities.

  • Plan & execute product / feature deployments.

  • Use customer data & usage analytics to inform product opportunities and evaluate results

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of digital Product Management experience with a proven track record delivering industry leading products and solutions

  • BA/BS degree required, graduate degree a plus

  • 3+ years direct experience shaping & executing product strategy for an online information product or similar site focusing primarily on business information, reporting and analytics.

  • Experience managing development of digital content products for both web and mobile, including native iOS & Android apps

  • Experience creating wireframes / mockups, defining product requirements and launching products/enhancements a plus.

  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial Real Estate domain knowledge preferred

  • Digital product management experience a plus

  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics (or similar web analytics platform) and solid analytical skills is a strong plus.
