Oversee the development and delivery of various digital capabilities using product management principles and an agile delivery framework within the Digital Solutions portfolio at BCBSMA.

  • Translate business needs into innovative solutions – Work closely with our business teams and other key business partners to create a product vision, understand and help identify business value, understand required use cases and capabilities, and translate these into product requirements. Product managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders.

  • Support portfolio of digital transformation priorities and capabilities development.

  • Supports Enterprise Governance, Process innovations and Business Process change management.

  • Help focus on key value driven features (MVP) and keep an eye for long-term success

  • Acts as the product owner for business solutions; understands product, business, and competitive landscape.

  • Build and communicate the vision – This role will have high level exposure and require superior communication and presentation skills to deliver insights to stakeholders and team members, including executives.

  • Support overall Digital Strategy, MarTech, Scaled Agile, Hybrid Processes, manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Being creative, curious and collaborative with stakeholders e.g. enterprise technology, Security and others.

  • Think Minimum Viable Product, coupled with continuous improvement, Think Consumer and Digital First, focus on Insights and KPI’s driven approach – CSAT, NPS and other Customer Satisfaction Goals.

  • Proactively Engage Business units and Marketing leaders, external partners, vendors, security, legal and other teams.

  • Requires good understanding of Digital technologies and concepts, Mobile Web and Apps and upcoming market changes/trends like Cloud, Health Care Interoperability, Accessibility, Machine Learning, AI.

  • Manage the entire product life cycle from sunsetting legacy products to prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas.

  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Teams, JIRA, Confluence, productivity apps like Microsoft Office, Project, Sharepoint, Tableau, Miro etc.

  • Strong analytical skills are a must, including the ability to coordinate analytics team for product reporting – weekly KPI measurement and other web metrics. SLA and Internal Service Agreements.

  • Dealing with Vendors and SaaS Partners – installation projects, setup projects, SLA’s and on going maintence.

  • Create Epics, Features, and Stories for current and future products based on the consumer insights, research, business goals and Customer Experience (CX) needs.

  • Additionally, this role requires the foundational understanding of Digital Technologies and backbones, data processing, information management, security and other Enterprise Technology architectures.

  • Using research to get ideas for products that customers will want / meet business goals

  • Helping to oversee the design and development and planning how to market and promote the product to the consumers/clients.

  • Supporting product marketing communication, legal reviews, compliance and other audit needs.

  • Comparing the company’s products to competitor’s products benchmarking, maturity and defining leading / differentiating features

  • Providing management with analyses and reports and responding to questions and requests from management, Sr. Leaders, Stakeholders, Committees

  • Specifying and defining / translating CX/Business needs into Use Cases, Business Cases, Charters,

  • Reviewing and adjusting budget resource levels and product iterations, schedules, releases, roadmaps to maintain speed to market and differentiation.

    Experience :

  • 5-6 years of relevant experience with Product Management principles, Agile and Waterfall models.

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, set roadmaps, work on team building and hiring the right skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing aggressive timelines and leading teams to success

  • Exposure to Digital, Web, Mobile, Apps, Browsers, Devices and Cloud Technologies.

  • Good collaboration skills, team building and coaching skills – leading as well as ability to roll up sleeves and get into the details when necessary.

  • Experience with Customer Journeys, Market Research, MVP Approaches

  • Good understanding of Requirements Gathering; Epics, Features, Stories. Independently write requirements from brainstorming sessions

  • Proficient with feasibility analysis – build vs. buy situations, support RFP’s

  • Basic understanding of technical concepts like APIs, Open Source, CMS, App Stores

  • Good problem solving skills with tenacious follow up on outstanding issues

  • Good leadership and collaborative skills – ability to work in small POD teams, and collaboratively lead cross-functionally.

  • Ability to dig deeper, be curious.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment

Preferred:

  • Experience managing iOS & Android mobile app products.

  • Experience leading platform-based products to scale.

  • Experience with ecommerce, payment subscription processes and ordering platforms.

  • Maintain strong relationships across key stakeholders and constituents.

  • Proven ability to deliver convincing business case recommendations to senior management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors).

  • Demonstrated collaborative style, with ability to lead and influence diverse teams

  • Familiarity with agile processes, such as scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

  • Master's Degree preferred
