Product Manager – DC EV Charging North America
Manages the product lifecycle strategy and implementation of products in the current and future portfolio of DC EV charging stations in the North American eMobility Market.
Owns strategic roadmap responsibility of critical elements in the DC EV Charging Station portfolio for North America as an integral part of the global strategic portfolio
Work closely with R&D (Research & Development), operations, sales, and service organizations to perfect portfolio performance for best-in-class customer experience while working in an environment of rapid innovation and technology change
Responsible for business case and market launch for new portfolio investments working closely with marketing, communication, and sales team.
Collaborates with product managers of related products in the North America DC EV charging product line, AC EV charging accessories, configuration backend and EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) management cloud, as well as adjacent product lines such as IEC (International Electrotechnical Commision) DC chargers and AC EV chargers.
Align traditional and digital service offerings available from Siemens internal service organizations as well as external partners, define sales channels and buying platforms for those channels
Owns product documentation for the relevant DC EV chargers in the North American market including sales enablement materials, web content, and bid information
Executes long-term plans for profitable growth of portfolio and drives predictive goal setting with business development team to gain forecasting transparency
Actively involved in solution design for the relevant DC EV charger proposals within the North American market
Ensures constant benchmarking of relevant markets (competitor activities, technology, market development, essential KPI’s, pricing, standards, etc.).
Develops and keeps strong relationships with business development and sales teams to drive sales and market awareness
Initiates activities to continuously improve the product including use of modern technologies, industry-leading trends, and insight based on customer demand
Manages lifecycle of products including lessons learned and agile product improvement processes, defines requirements for global product development teams capturing the market needs and timing
Qualifications
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college. Preference for engineering and/or business degrees
3-5 years business development, engineering, product management or field services experience related to eMobility, solar, and/or electrical equipment. Preference given to direct experience with retrofit, and asset management portfolio.
Good understanding of utility, construction and industrial operations and channels to market.
