Cloudbeds Product Manager - Data Insights in Boston, Massachusetts

Cloudbeds is a travel SaaS technology company that works to make the world a more welcoming place. Heavily leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS), we build advanced, cloud-based hospitality software for hotels, hostels, vacation rentals, and groups. Our software manages reservations and guests, distributes room availability, sells inventory, and collects payments. Cloudbeds is developing the next-generation analytics platform for the SaaS and Lodging businesses, bringing our customers an unrivaled level of data analytics capabilities while redefining the market for data solutions in travel technology. Cloudbeds is looking for a highly skilled and experienced product manager who will lead cross-functional teams in order to create, deliver, market, and grow our Data Insights product. The ideal candidate for this role understands how to leverage frameworks for design thinking, user research, and go-to-market strategies including pricing and positioning. Experience launching new products into the market and growing adoption is a must.

You will help create, strategize, and communicate the Cloudbeds data insights vision across the Cloudbeds organization, ensuring full alignment. You will be responsible for guiding and supporting the engineering team through discovery, development, testing, shipping, and iterating on the Data Insights product. You must have a passion for creating, developing, positioning, marketing, and growing an incredible product that leads Cloudbeds and our customers to new heights.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive all product management efforts for Cloudbeds Data Insights

  • Work closely with customers and partners, engineering, product marketing, customer success, and sales departments

  • Deeply understand, document, analyze, and synthesize user needs into product priorities, roadmap plans, and detailed specifications

  • Contribute as the Product Owner of a cross-functional scrum team

  • Be responsible for managing the product backlog, defining, documenting, and communicating objectives, requirements, and constraints for engineering initiatives and product releases

  • Deliver architecturally aware, delightful products to our customers

  • Define, develop, communicate and execute a go-to-market plan for the Cloudbeds Data Insights Product

  • Define, analyze and act on metrics that inform the success, global growth, and profitability of the Cloudbeds Data Insights as a product line

  • Act as a trusted advisor during customer interactions, events, and social media coverage

  • Act as a champion of performance and data platform objectives for the feature owned

    You’ll Succeed With:

  • 6+ years proven record working on and delivering data-rich SaaS applications and solutions that leverage technology to create delightful user experiences

  • Experience launching new products into the market and growing adoption

  • Demonstrated deep understanding of user data consumption via multiple channels: online UI tools and SaaS platforms, downloadable reports, API extraction, BI Software integrations

  • Experience and understanding of modern data platforms and analytics databases.

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, preferably within a Scrum team

  • A natural talent for mediating competing interests and finding creative solutions.

  • Experienced with all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from ideation, pricing, and setting measurable adoption goals, to project planning, product marketing, and overall execution

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with changing needs and limited resources

  • Ability to be a team player, who can collaborate with engineers, designers, and other teams

  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

  • Ability to analyze and use data to inform decisions

  • A deep understanding and empathy for users

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Bonus Points For:

  • MBA or another relevant graduate-level degree

  • Past experience building and delivering data analytics products and solutions

  • Past experience working as a data scientist or within a data science group

  • Past experience as a product manager for a data analytics company

  • Data analysis experience specifically within the Hospitality Industry

  • Certification in Product Ownership through either Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org. This could be either Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)

  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices
