This role will be aligned to the product management team of Deloitte's Intellect suite within our ConvergeHEALTH practice. ConvergeHEALTH is Deloitte Consulting's healthcare innovation and technology product arm and is committed to creating health care systems that connect patients, providers, researchers, regulators, and payors across digital platforms to make value-based, personalized health care a reality. The Intellect suite is a growing portfolio of subscription-based, hosted analytics applications. The suite includes Revenue Intellect and Care Intellect, among others, and it is specifically focused on analytics designed to support Provider Optimization efforts - from revenue cycle optimization to clinical variation management and clinical performance improvement.

As a Product Manager, you will hold a critical role leading the product management team of the Intellect suite. You and your team will drive all aspects of the product lifecycle, from working with business stakeholders, colleagues, and clients to define market opportunities and strategic direction, to facilitating the design, build, sale, support and delivery of analytics solutions for our health care provider clients.

You'll be expected to take on a leadership role within the PM team, act as a mentor to junior practitioners, offer up best practice and experience-based perspectives for the team to consider, and build a sense of followership and collaboration within your team.

You should have the ability to collaborate and align with technical and non-technical stakeholders, experience translating customer needs into technical product requirements, and a successful track record of working with engineering to build and deliver world-class products.

Work you'll do:

  • As a Product Manager, you will utilize your extensive experience in the health care provider operations space and input from market offering leaders to build and execute on the Intellect suite's product roadmap, working closely with engineering teams on detailed specifications, including analytical models, user interface, and data source ingestion and integration.

  • Lead a multi-functional and multi-geography team across the product lifecycle, from market and strategic planning and business case development, to requirements identification and design, to engineering and execution

  • Lead efforts to take high-level concepts or requirements and engage with various stakeholders to scope out concepts (including detailed requirements, mockups, prototypes, etc.) to a level of detail needed for engineering teams to bring our strategic priorities to life

  • Play a hands-on role in in the agile software development lifecycle by reviewing user stories, grooming backlogs, running sprint review/sprint showcases and other similar activities

  • Work with product marketing, sales, and consulting colleagues to sell and deliver the products you're managing

  • Lead the development of marketing collaterals such as presentations, sales tools, marketing collateral, and product demonstrations to drive sales and customer adoption

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on customer/decision-maker/end-user feedback and manage evolution of the product in the marketplace

  • Help drive annual and ongoing financial planning efforts for your products

    We expect you to have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field - IT/MIS, analytics, health informatics, health policy, etc. - from a top-tier university

  • 8-12 years of proven success in a fast-paced healthcare-related product management, management consulting, or startup environment, including a multi-year track record of leadership roles

  • Exceptionally strong understanding of the inner workings of large healthcare provider organizations, including in-depth knowledge of healthcare technology, revenue cycle management, EHR system implementations, and other provider operations/optimization concepts (supply chain, pharmacy, clinical variation management, cost reduction, clinical ops, etc.)

  • An interest in "getting your hands dirty". An expectation of this role is that responsibilities will span from strategic to very tactical/execution-focused; you should have an interest and willingness to get heavily in both ends of the spectrum

  • Technical fluency and a general comfort operating in a techno-functional role where you can leverage high-level familiarity with tech concepts (cloud, analytics, data science, etc.) to offer perspectives on how various technical approaches can help address the business/functional challenges our team is tasked with solving

  • Proven ability to lead a cross-functional agile product development team from ideation to execution, including leveraging leading-practice PM techniques, approaches, and frameworks to ensure efficient team performance across the SDLC

  • Strong experience managing people and teams in a collaborative and mentorship-focused manner, including experience working with virtual and globally distributed colleagues

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience crafting impactful PowerPoint presentations, tailoring communication to your audience, comfort facilitating large working sessions, etc.

  • Proven ability to successfully partner with internal stakeholders from various parts of the organization and drive successful outcomes

  • Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Limited sponsorship may be available

    We'd love you to have:

  • Masters' degree (MBA, MHA, etc.) in a relevant field

  • Experience leveraging complex health care data for analytical purposes (claims, EHR, FHIR, etc.)

  • Exposure to AWS cloud-native technologies

  • Experience working across brand, sales, and marketing agencies

    • The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and c ertifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $132,000 - $220,000.

    • You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
