Brookline Bancorp, Inc. Product Manager - Consumer - Boston, MA in Boston, Massachusetts

Principal Objective

This is a centralized, corporate-level strategic product management position for consumer products and services. The individual will help steer the management, development, planning, and delivery of existing and new products and services to retail banking customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships and maintain collaborative structured engagement with business partners (Banks, Operations, Third Party providers).

  • Product Strategy and Development

  • Define and develop roadmap for functional capabilities – gap analysis

  • Perform market research to insure competitive offerings: including pricing, product capability, operating reliability, customer experience, revenue growth and profitability.

  • Assess client needs, develops business plans and cases for new products.

  • Analyze product profitability, trends and customer behaviors

  • Manage product development process including planning and design of product features, sales & service delivery models.

  • Manage product issue resolution in conjunction with Banking Operations, Support Services, Sales, Customer Service, IT and various 3rd Party software providers.

  • Support Training and Outreach

  • Participate in establishing end to end product delivery from business requirement development to sales training for all channels across product set..

  • Ensure Consistent Messaging and Branding as they relate to product, service and brand image

  • Collaborate with marketing and vendors on copywriting, web content and related collateral material.

  • Provide Reporting and Analytical Tools and Support

  • Develop effective and efficient corporate-wide reporting for Bank Presidents and Senior Management in order to delineate and track product activity and trends.

Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field required. MBA preferred.

  • 10 or more years of banking experience, project management experience a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial analysis and attention to detail

  • Outstanding leadership, presentation and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships at all level of the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation & follow-up skills.

  • Knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Ability to drive progress through disciplined and effective planning and execution.
