Make an Impact

You will formulate strategies and execute them to meet and exceed growth targets of the biochromatography LC columns portfolio. You will identify long-term growth opportunities for products in their segment. You will have extensive knowledge of all marketing intelligence of their segment including; market share, competitors, large customers, commercial opportunities. You will recommend new requirements or products and participate on cross-functional development teams who develop these products from concept through to launch.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead all aspects of the biochromatography LC columns products lifecycle

  • Develop forecasts, monitor competitive activity and identify product differentiation opportunities. Analyze segment, market and channel trends utilizing industry research, including client research and focus groups.

  • Provide strategy and direction for all promotions for new and existing products to increase revenue and profit; product launches, web, commercial promotions, customer and commercial training

  • Ensure tight alignment with the HPLC and Mass Spectroscopy Instrumentation team (Product Management and R&D)

  • Give technical support to sales colleagues (including distributors and channel partners) – new product ideas, technical sounding boards for new ideas

  • Interacts with key customers and channel partners to understand problems, obtain feedback on new and existing products and determine solutions

  • Synthesize these inputs and ensure product roadmaps, requirements, and business plans are updated for both new and existing products

  • Responsible for implementing pricing, competitive positioning, value proposition, promotion, product roadmaps, forecasting, and channel strategy

Keys to Success

Education

  • BS degree required in Chemistry or Biochemistry

  • Advanced degree (e.g. PhD, MBA) a plus

Experience

  • Validated Sales, Marketing or Product Management experience required

  • Experience with analytical chromatography consumables, on bio chromatography and mass spectrometry applications (peptides & proteins analysis) preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to influence other people and influence direction

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Proven track record of operating independently to take initiative and exercise astute business judgment to drive performance

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw concrete conclusions

  • Travel of approximately 20% of time including International travel
