How you will make an impact:

The Private Label Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing product strategies to accelerate the growth of Private Label business. He/She is also responsible for private label sourcing and implementation in support of the RSD NA / EMEA and HMD Portfolio Management teams. This is a cross-functional leading role with responsibility for project management and accountability for deadlines, compliance, results and metrics reporting to Sr. Manager Private Label, the Product Manager will be managing a defined product portfolio, and supporting market analysis, planning, and commercial strategy. Key success metrics of this position are revenue growth, portfolio profitability, product quality and new product introductions.

What you will do:

  • Develop, implement and manage new and/or existing products in a portfolio by collaborating with Category Managers, Commercial Product Managers, suppliers and other internal stakeholders

  • Manages the full product lifecycle for assigned product lines

  • Lead new product introductions (NPI), and providing data related to competitors, the market, product positioning, revenue and unit forecasting and pricing strategies

  • Define product performance specifications and manage product testing with external laboratories as required

  • Manage product phase gates / product introduction timelines

  • Supplier selection and development

  • Lead product and contract negotiations

  • Develop and deploy sourcing strategies with internal and external suppliers to drive revenue and profitability growth of the product portfolio

  • Develop and manage strategic collaborations for product partnerships. Lead cross-functional teams with marketing, supply chain, commercial groups and external partners to execute programs

  • Champion new product directions, work across functions to develop business opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction and use voice of customer research. Develop long-term product roadmap according to business strategy

  • Support product planning in conjunction with manufacturing and planning teams to deliver optimal service levels for products; analyze profitability and monitor key financial indicators

  • Collaborating with Regulatory and Quality functions to ensure sourced products compliant with all relevant regulatory and quality requirements

  • Develop and maintain domain expertise in both the products and the strategic sourcing process

How you will get here:


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a science related discipline


  • 2+ years, product management, finance or market development experience

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional regional marketing and sales teams

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routine testing, per client discretion

  • Strong project management and independent decision-making capabilities

  • Self-starter with the ability to execute plans with minimal supervision

  • Strong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and embracing changes

  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Low Cost Region sourcing
