Nike Principal Womens Energy Global - Converse in Boston, Massachusetts

In this role of Principal, Womens Energy Global for Converse, you will report to the Director of Energy and work with the team to energize the brand with exclusive products for our Womens consumer that create distinction in the marketplace around the globe. You will influence the product creation process by providing relevant consumer insights as well as marketplace trends. You will display a strong understanding of our consumer, street style and a passion for the sneaker & apparel industry – performing market research and summarizing feedback to share.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the product creation efforts for Womens specific collaborations and licensing projects across both footwear and apparel.

  • High degree of partner interaction and awareness to meet the consumer needs in these environments. Interact directly with the partners during the GTM process.

  • Lead the relationships between key Womens collaborators and licensees. Establish the link to the business and develop relevant product initiatives and strategies

  • Partner across different product creations teams at converse to amplify enterprise strategy in the most strategic way with most strategic models for our consumer (Inline, Close to market, Converse by you)

  • Create and execute the Womens Energy collection that supports the overarching footwear strategic growth agenda. Manage the entry of accurate and complete information into the data management system and act as the proprietor of product analysis and historical information

  • Work closely with the Design and development team managing resources to complete these initiatives. Create thorough and compelling Product Briefs that deliver strong story telling for our consumer

  • Lead the cross functional team to achieve category financial objectives with respect to revenue, margin, and sku efficiency

  • Collaborate closely with Entertainment marketing, Brand Marketing and Commercial counterparts in support of assigned partners to create differentiated Consumer experiences

Qualifications:

  • 7+ Years relevant experience in product related roles

  • One Team – successful experience in being an influencer and contributing member of a team

  • Product Line Management Experience – Footwear & Apparel

  • Business orientation, analytical proficiency

  • Solution oriented mindset

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations

  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and opportunities to a functionally diverse and wide audience

  • Ability to effectively elevate strategic concerns to management in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with management, cross functional partners and external partners

  • Ability to identify external partners and influence internal stakeholders to support that partner

  • Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism

  • Strong understanding and application of managerial concepts and techniques in areas such as project management, idea creation, and cross team effectiveness

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to key partners, market visits & Asia Development trips

  • Demonstrated leadership in fostering continuous learning
